Which DS Flash Cart would you recommend? I'm not going to lie, I'd use it for for files of questionable legality, does anyone here have experience with them?

R4DS Cartridge is the best IMO. I don't have it, but from everyone I know with one, I heard it is very great and its not very expensive.

I have an R4DS. It works great, no hassle at all. You need to purchase a MicroSD card as well, as it comes seperate from the cart, though.

I too would suggest the R4DS:  Cheap, easy, and very reliable.

Don't get it if you want to use DSLinux. Doesn't work with it.

Sorry for the gravedig, but I just now saw this.  It doesn't work with the R4?  The DLDI build when used with "dslinux.nds" and not "dslinuxm.nds" should work fine on the R4.  I've heard reports of it sometimes only working with FAT32 cards at some point, but I think that issue got resolved in the latest builds.

Regardless, the R4 would be a good choice, as would the CycloDS Evolution.  The Supercard DS has some cool advanced features you can't find on other carts (like the ability to consult a gameFAQ guide in the middle of playing), but it's not the most user-friendly device, so new users may be put off by its sharp learning curve.

Apparently the DSLinux wiki has changed to an entirely different wiki software, so http://dslinux.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/ComparisonOfHomebrewHardware looks really screwed up, but it appears that people have reported the R4 to work with DSLinux.  Give it another try if you're interested, and check the forums if you have trouble, as a few people have had the same issue recently.
