Title: [Completed] Zelda: Darkness Uprising
Post by: imfletcher on October 27, 2006, 09:54:00 pm
I meant to repost this for the longest time, but I was too lazy to upload it. Instead I just Googled the title and found a few sites offering downloads, as well as my older version of zsanctuary. Enjoy.

Download from: http://www.zeldadungeon.net/FG.php

I got an unexpected error as soon as I started it. Before loading had even finished.

hmm... The game is quite good... The controls are a bit too spread out and the game is hard to follow. the storyline is easy BUT playing it isn't. It became trivial. I had got into the first dungeon and already I was stuck. I used the key in the wrong hole(I think) and then couldn't go on. but everything else was great.
8.5/10

For those less talented puzzle-solvers, I dug up the old walkthrough: http://izelda.com/zsanctuary/main.php?page=duwalkthrough

It's old and cheap therefore saving is done at the end of each "chapter".

Well... After playing it a lot more I found that it was more of a puzzling/strategy RPG. It required logic and commen sense. It was good fun. The boss for the first temple/dungeon was really hard. I think the boulders moved to fast for me to get a good shot at him. I died. but it was good
keep it up ;)

I love this game! It was 1/4 of my inspiration to start a game, I played it nearly everyday!

You going to do the Autumn Rune one? I wanna play it but the demo doesn't work.

Autumn Rune got cancelled and turned into "Hall of the Dead" which is currently on hiatus, though I do plan to resume it and finsih it this summer. Maybe I'll upload the demo for that and add it somewhere, it does go past the first dungeon.

Shame about AR, it looked cool.

Nah, tis nothing compared to the new project. Mind you it recycles all the best elements from AR anyway.

Carvool, if you're going to bump a topic from almost 2 months ago, would you please add a little bit more content to your post?  I realize you're a new member, but just for future reference, gravedigging is usually only allowed if the post adds something meaningful to the topic.  I agree that it's a good game though.

He said nice things about my game, if that's not a reason to gravedig then I don't know what is.  :P

That's why I was hesitant to reprimand him for it, lol.  I just feel that something more along the lines of "it's nice BECAUSE such-and-such" would probably have been more constructive.

Then again, it really doesn't matter, so I'll just shut up now.  =)

Well I haven't the time right now, but I have finished the second dungeon. I may release a new demo which is like 50% of the game pretty soon.

Is this topic too old to post in? I hope not. =P

This is one of the old ZFGC classics, I'll always hold it dear to my heart.

Til the follow-up (won't use the word sequel) comes out in a few months anyway. :P

Oh and if anybody is curious about that, I'm polishing up the third dungeon now, and only two left after that. I'd update my topic in the other board, but frankly it has plenty of info, just keep your eyes on the completed projects board in coming months. I'll probably also have something in my MSN name when it's out.
