J2ME - Where do I start (again)

I really have messed up this time. Taking time off my exams has left me knowing nothing about about J2ME despite reading books and tutorials

Someone please tell me STEP by STEP what I must do to start programming in J2ME and what I should learn first!!! Every tutorial code I look at is too hard because I don't have the program or anything. I dunno what to do. I really want to move away from Gm6.1 because it'll lead me nowhere in life.

Please help an old Lizcren :'(

Laigonaz- you cant keep jumping into things thinking they're going to be as simple as GM o.o... You need to stop trying to skip steps, and learn the language from the ground up. Make a hello world app, and build from there; no one can teach you the language, IDE, or anything else like that, you need to learn them on your own. All we can do is offer tips and advice ;p

Could someone give me a download link to the java making program and an editor?

Indeed; funny thing, while I was reading this thread I was talking to my friend John, who worked on my commercial mobile phone project with VivaLaMobile using J2ME asking him if he could give you tips. He gave some very good tips too, but I read your post, and I immediately told him "Nevermind, he doesn't want my help".

I cant help someone who doesn't really want help.

Sorry mamor I snapped. I agree 2000% that you can't jump from A to B. I haven't even finished reading the book I got about J2ME yet because it's so ...weird.... in my context. I live with it as a challenge. I'd be glad to here your advice.
