Hey guys, I need someone who can help me solve this issue I'm having.  See, it's a strange thing that I can't seem to figure out and that makes NO sense.  It's a part of my physics engine, it's dealing with an object that accelerates when you push it (walk into it) and decelerates when you stop pushing.  The object is accelerating on screen, but the speed variable remains at 0, causing crap to go wrong.

Anyway, if anyone thinks they can assist at fixing this (and possibly help out with getting more of the physics engine for this game going) please drop me a line =)

EDIT: mkay, this problem has been solved, it was a glitch in Game Maker itself, not my code.  I'll still take a physics programmer if anyone wants to help out.

If it's in C++, I could take a gander at it...  You know more to C++ than I do, but I might be able to find the mistake in the logic...If you know what I mean.
