During Hyrule's darkest times, the goddesses created a statue that would grant the wishes of whomever placed their hands upon it.  They placed the statue deep in forests of Hyrule in hopes that those who would dare venture into the forest where no one has yet gone, would be strong and wise enough to make the correct wishes.  A man set out for this statue, but never found it.  Instead, he gained wisdom and knowledge during his travels.  He eventually united the land and became the King of Hyrule.  The statue is still buried deep with the harsh forest...waiting for some to come along and make a wish...

The bedtime story that is told to the young children of Hyrule.  Most do not believe it anymore.  Some have tried to seek out the statue, but anyone that has ventured deep into the forest has never returned sane.  But, there is one man, Ganondorf, who seeks the power of the statue to control Hyrule.  No one knows his intentions for the statue.  He uses gile to gain more and more knowledge.  He became the librarian of the Hyrule Castle Archives in hopes of gaining knowledge through the ancient scrolls to find the statue.  It is only a matter of time before he finds what he is looking for...

Link, a merchant in Kakariko, is setting out for Hyrule Castle with his merchandise.  He is looking forward to making some profit for once, instead of barely making ends meet in some rural towns.  As a boy, he dreamed of finding the statue so much spoken about during his childhood, but as he grew up, it became nothing more than an afterthought.  He became an apprentice under a gentle man named, Goldwin.  Goldwin taught Link on how to craft goods and how to bargain them to people.  This day was Link's first opportunity to sell merchandise on his own.  Little did he know that that day, his caravan would be attacked by an unknown enemy that would spark the beginning of a new journey.

I just thought this up and felt the need to share it with you guys.  Free to use, redo, or whatever.
