Other Discussion / Re: Merging with DSR
« on: April 24, 2006, 03:10:26 am »
I beleive this is a joke.  That would be so ironic, considering ZFGC-X was created because of ZFGC/GA fusing with DSR and nobody wanting to go to DSR, or people wanting the old ZFGC.  It seems to have just as much spirit as it did before.  And fusing with Dsr would make it better? No it would lose ALL of its spirit because it wouldnt be ZFGC anymore.

Either way it wouldn't matter to me.  There's just a few things that DSR could do to make it more appealing to me, but w/e.

My first name: Alink2thepast-when I was very noobish-came from my first zelda game's name, a seguel to Lttp.

Then I changed to .GanonSpriteR- name came from the last sprite I made as Alink2thepast, which was obviously Ganon.

I kept this name for quite a while until Zfgc, went to GA. I wanted a less zelda related names for GA, and Pixel Groove forums. So I took my name, made it backwards and messed around with that(Ymmij>Immij>Imij>Imig>Imyg>Imyge)

I wonder how many people, if any, remember Alink2thepast, my name from the early-middle IF era.

I never would have guessed that the background(underneath the swirled fog) of that title screen was so simplistic.
Your tiles and sprites are awesome. The TLoZFGC collection being the best of them all. Excellent job!

Or just edit the first post, putting the palettes in it?

Oh I see it now... I didn't noticed Link getting hurt in the screenshot first time I looked at it.

There being puzzles is always good to hear.

I'd rather play the game all at once rather than having little demos ruining the final product.

I hope to be able to play through many puzzles too.  Also I hope you don't forget that when you get hit link should jump back a little, that was one of the most annoying things in your first game that I noticed. Maybe even secret rooms, not involved in the actual gameplay with references to other games, or anything would be awesome. ;D Can't wait to see more!

I use sprites from TSR(sprites that are accurate, some do not have accurate colors)

Lttp Palette(This palette may not have all the colors, but it has most of them):

Mc Palette(This palette has the colors from most NPCs, and other colors, Unfinished)

I never knew Mc had so many colors... Nintendo could have shortened their palette, because a lot of these colors are very close.

Thanks Alot!

I've done a wolfos before(not very good, because of how long ago I made it), but that's not a bad idea.  I might try to make a Lttp and Mc style one soon.

Better? Short as I plan on going with them. So I hope its better. I'm ready to work on a new sprite but I don't have any ideas.

Maybe it's better now, I don't know.  Did the "different approach" for no particular reason, just felt like it. C+C

Hof-Chaindog and my sprite? Colors looked terrible and some more stuff that looked bad.

Gilga- Hmm, yeah after watching that video I can see that my sprite is wrong, but I'm not sure how I should redo it. Its hard to see in that video. Does she pick her tail up or anything? :/ I may have to go play to Gohma to see.

Looks excellent! I only have a problem with the colors on the wings, how you shaded the wings, the green you used to outline and also the darker red you used for the eyes and mouth(should use lttp black). Everything else look pretty good.

Lttp Black-

No, looks at ingame screenshots of Gohma.  If I was comparing the size to the official art then, yes, it would be too thin.  But that should be about the correct size.
