Title: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD 2D
Post by: FISSURE on May 18, 2015, 11:57:29 pm
I've decided to take on the task of creating The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD 2D

It's pretty early, but i know if you just look at the progress, you will see that this will be a great game. I'm using the link to the past art style as i feel it best shows off the beauty of this beautiful game.

Here is an early sprite for link:

Here is a Work in Progress sprite for Fi:

Here is a Work In Progress for Ghirahim, i spent a lot of time on this one because i feel he is one of the best enemies in zelda ever and i feel he sexy.

Here is an early Work In Progress for Skyloft, as you can see i included the main places, link's school, the statue, the shop tent, and some bridges, It also features a few floating islands, and a flying ship. It's very early but will be complete when the game is complete.

Also, for controls, i know that Motion Controls are a bit part of the game.So if you have a Wiimote, pictured here:

You will be able to make use of the Alternate Motion Controls. For instance, if you hold the Wiimote, and press the D-pad left, as you press left on the arrow keys, you will move link left. If you press right on the D-pad while pressing the left arrow key link will move left.

If you shake the Wii Mote as you press the space bar, link will attack. Now it's not 100% precise, and will require you to use one hand on the wiimote and one hand on the keyboard, but i feel this control scheme works extremely well with the game.

How did you do so much work on this in such a short amount of time? Others should be learning from you man. Ever consider taking up students or interns?

Don't worry, as long as i can get people to code it, draw more graphics, and bug test it for me, then i will definitely finish it! Oh and people to make the musics too.

How did you do so much work on this in such a short amount of time? Others should be learning from you man. Ever consider taking up students or interns?

You know that is a very good question, it all started when i played the best zelda game ever Skyward Sword, and i thought man i wonder how that game would look in 2D, and since i have at least 1 hour of experience in HTML, i figured it would be easy to make. I don't think taking on students or interns is for the best, i mean do you really want millions of people that are able to create really awesome games in a short amount of time? It would put Ubisoft and EA out of business.

Will you be taking donations to buy controllers?

Sure i could use from free controllers.

Where can I preorder?

That might be hard, i mean i might be able to sneak some copies on the shelf on my local gamestop.

Thank you all for your wonderful questions, the great questions like these is why i make game.

No joking - this is genuinely better than Skyward Sword was.
