While I do think that it may be encouraging for some people, I just KNOW it will make people feel like !@#$%. A lot. So I say we shouldn't go for it, really.

Oh Come On! Its just a fun little community event to join us toghether :P

Join us together? These are the sort of events that separate people even more.
Not at all. The whole thing is community-based. We pick who's the best, la la la. And it wouldn't split members up, either. The members here seem to be overall pretty calm about that kinda thing.

Are you kidding? Saying that someone is better just makes everyone else feel like crap while the person thats the "best" will have an overinflated ego (as if the more popular people of ZFGC don't already). That'll definately pose some major problems.

Ah, just noticed you said what I was saying. :(

I don't see best member on their so it would be no worse then PotM or Sprite Competitions only in different catagories, I've seen it on Camp Hyrule, it works, people actually want to get biggest smartass just for kicks, and all of you peoples arguments are dull and are just stating what others have said before we proved them wrong!

I definitely agree that there are some that should be taken out for those reasons. But, I think that generally, the members would be pretty gracious about the whole thing, since it's obviously light-hearted.

Yeah. If people take it light-heartedly... It would go well. If people get all competitive, then I don't think it would work. Whatever, I thought it would be a fun little event. I guess not.

That's a good point. There are times I miss Karma though. A give-only system might have held out better, but too late now.

I think this is an excellent idea. Of course, it'll all be in good fun, so I don't see how it could do much harm.

@ Kren:

Nah, that wouldn't be fun. There's a post on the first page with some pretty awesome catagories.

(!@#$%)

Hear the haunting words (They'll find you alone)
lost children with no heart are crying (Turning their hearts into stone)
and you're the lost mother they're calling
Go now, run and hide (seek more than vengeance)
I hear them crying at night (your pain is their satisfaction)
outside when the planets are falling (for the rest of time)
They want to feel and know you hear them (Go now, run and hide)

Is this still a possible idea?  :-\

On another forum I go to, we hold these kinds of awards annually. So I know from experience that it's a good idea.

Yah. We used to do it at SFC (Shining Force Central)

And everyone was happy. It was just a fun little community thing, and it worked out nice. I dont see the problem with it ???

BTW, when do we start nominations?

Hold on, we havin't had approval from mods, or agreement from a large amount of people...

I think your going a bit fast there. Wait for some mods and admins to take more notice.
