Graphics look nice.  Very colorful.  Anyone who says it looks "kiddy" can be reminded the game is mostly aimed at kids.
Trailer click here

The flying claw thingy looks pretty sweet.

1. they made a ocarina of time in gcn graphics

YES

2. then hey came up with windwaker
3. people said: to kiddy D;
4. Tp was adultish graphic on the wind waker engine
5. too adultish D;
6. Skyward = TP with wind waker shader reactivated ;D

thats what i think they thought

but i think its the right style for zelda...  in the dark areas dark ( scorpion ) and in the light its cartoonish but not too much

I don't have high expectations gameplay-wise; I get the feeling it's going to be as empty and boring as Twilight Princess.  I like the graphics though.

(This is now the official thread for Zelda: Skyward Sword)

Graphics look great imo. Some game play looks interesting, like the flying armlet dealy. It won't entice me into buying a Wii though.

I like the new style, I really do, but I can't get over the fact that it has the appearance of being OoT all over again.

Apparently the game won't be a spacious as Twilight Princess so it shouldn't be as empty and the controls should be a lot more fun than the TP Wii's tacked on controls because it's a Gamecube game. The girl in the art is the Skyward Sword. Apparently the sword in the new art, screens, trailers and demos is the Skyward Sword and it turns into the Master Sword. Link lives on the clouds as well.

I think I'm pretty much done with the series.  :-\ I haven't even beaten Twilight Princess.
I was only thinking "half assed" throughout the entire trailer.. It stills looks like a poorly made GameCube game with no consideration for a strong graphic presentation. Even small things like the way his hand grips the sword right in the beginning? I understand they want to show gameplay, but just clean that !@#$% up and make a quick animation for the trailer. To me, the colors are distracting and don't work in harmony with one another. Wind Waker is probably my favorite Zelda game, and I feel like they tried to capture elements of the style.. but it looks like a !@#$% up Twilight Princess. Honestly disappointing.

Think about Wind Waker's trailer from spaceworld, then the finished product. There will be improvement :)

I think this style is probably the the best fitting 3D style for the Zelda series. And those little graphical hick ups don't matter to me. To me it is more important that the controls actually work well. The interaction is the most important factor to me.

The E3 live demonstration was a big fail in that aspect, but from the hands-on articles I have seen that it works really well. So I need to wait until it arrives, in order to try it out for myself.

Yeah but that wasn't introduced with a name as the next Zelda title. :(

At the Nintendo website, in the description of this it sais "A Link to the Future" so maybe this will give us a hint about what the story revolves around. So, I think there is time travel to the future as in Ocarina of Time. And what I think is that Ganon is probably the bad guy in this game. I do hope they don't change a thing when it comes to the graphic and controll.

I think the screenshots on the website look a lot nicer than the trailer. I wonder if the trailer is just poor quality or if the screenshots have been improved upon. Either way, the screenshots definitely have a nicer feel.
