'Twas originally a stupid comment on youtube. There's loads of them. For example:
"Wind Waker was my first and favorite Zelda game. I sucked at first, going to youtube every 2 seconds cuz I got stuck often and also cuz I sucked at it. But now I'm awesome at Zelda games, lol. But man I had soo many memories wit Wind Waker, and now after a year since I beat it. I'm now on my second playthrough. Zelda will prolly be in my heart for the rest of my life because of all the memories I had wit it."

6. Skyward = TP with wind waker shader reactivated ;D

thats what i think they thought

agreed.  lol when i saw it for the first time i felt sorry for mr.M, he had like a tech. problem on stage.  I might be able to get this game once I learn more about it.  Dunno if im getting other m, still thinking about it.
but i think its the right style for zelda...  in the dark areas dark ( scorpion ) and in the light its cartoonish but not too much

My god the journalist still keep asking about timeline. The worst part is that Eiji Aonuma answers it with that Skyward Sword is before OOT.

Ah well, I still think there is no timeline. Just enjoy each game on its own and don't break your head over any timeline.

There WAS a timeline at one point, but it was before OoT soo... a bit outdated now... lessee if I can find the link (no pun intended).

Closest things I found with a quick google search...

http://gannon-banned.com/#timeline

And to try to end this timeline discussion, if we go by Word of God then the facts about the timeline assumind they haven't retconned things yet would be:

MC->FS->FSA->the rest

OoT->Zelda 1->AoL->LttP->LA

OoT->MM->TP
      ->WW->PH->ST

SS->OoT

OoA<->OoS

Everything else (unless I'm forgetting something) is just speculation/fanon. If you don't care about the timeline, fine, don't care, just don't complain about those who do and enjoy discussing it (@ no one specificly).

Superplay: How do the Zelda games timelines link together? Is there any connection between the different games, or do you take tell us a new Zelda story each time?

Shigeru Miyamoto: For every Zelda game we tell a new story, but we actually have an enormous document that explains how the game relates to the others, and bind them together. But to be honest, they are not that important to us. We care more about developing the game system... give the player new challenges for every chapter that is born.

Superplay: Will the story always come 2nd when you develop games?

Shigeru Miyamoto: The most important thing for me, is that the player get sucked into the game. I want the games to be easy to understand, and that the people appreciate the games content, its core. I will never deny the importance of a great story, but the plot should never get that important that it becomes unclear.

Yeah, this was right around the same time that OoT came out, so it's a bit outdated. Seeing as there's been 12 or so Zelda games since then.
