I'll be your tour guide around #ZFGC! My name is DJvenom! The ZFGC Chatroom is an exciting place where you can interact with other ZFGC members in real time, to get questions answered, talk about life in general, or just hang out! There are very many ways to join us in the chatroom.
The quickest way would be to access us via our Java applet which can be can be
FOUND HERE!The second (and most effective) way would be to download
mIRC (or an IRC client of equivalent capabilities!)
Our chatroom is located on the lovely windfyre network, and is cleverly titled #ZFGC.
DJvenom's awesome setting up mIRC for dummies!
Step 1. A popup will... pop up. Filling the necessary boxes.
Full Name: Doesn't necessary need to be your full name. Most members use this for a funny slogan.
Email address: Again, doesn't need to be a working email address.
Nickname: Your ZFGC username preferably.
Alternative: Alt nickname, usually USERNAME[afk] but it can be whatever you like.
Step 2. Click OK, and you'll come to a very blank screen. Type the following line in the edit box on the bottom.
/server irc.windfyre.net (/s irc.windfyre.net also works.)
If done correctly, you should see the server info zip by as well as the MoTD (Message of the Day)
Step 3. Joining the chat! Simply type the following command.
/join #ZFGC (/j #ZFGC also works.)
Step 4. If you enjoy hanging out with us, you're encouraged to register! Simply type the following line.
/msg nickserv register PASSWORD EMAIL (/ns register PASSWORD EMAIL also works.)
Registering your nickname prevents users from stealing it, or using it without your permission, and also allows us to be able to +, %, @, or possibly & you if we deem it so!
Step 5. ENJOY!
