I knew this was a prank from the beginning, it helps to rely on intellect and avoid being swayed into emotional deceit of truth.

I am starting to think though that these pranks are turning into "staff initiation" tests though.  Like once you're on the staff you have to prank the forum and whatnot.  Humorous, but avoidable.

This topic is the dumbest one I have seen in a while.  Even though it does what it was intended to do, reinvigorating the forum community, it still plays on the emotions of people who can't see through the smoke of the bad humor.

If Metal were in on this, he should have also posted in here saying what was going to happen.  He is a member of both forum's so it would only seem appropriate.  Why would the staff merge when no one there knows who Drewdelz and some of the other are?  You'd think that Metal, who since he is from the bigger forum would be managing the whole thing would post in here at least explaining it.  Besides, Metal himself wanted ZFGC a seperate entity.  FISSION MAILED.

If we were really merging, why isn't there a topic in Announcements on DSR?  You would think that during a merge, both sides would be saying that they were going to do this.

Considering that this is still open to discussion, I could assume that you will say because we haven't, so they haven't decided yet either.  It also wouldn't be a merge since we really wouldn't be gaining anything.

Why not move this to SPAM with your mod powers, chop chop?  This is just another thing to get forum activity to go up, similar to the Limey=TRM topic.  You guys all hate DSR and really just want to keep ZFGC's identity.  Besides, the only member over there who has not joined here is who besides .TakaM.

Besides, huge community decisions are anounced by Drewdelz and not a moderator.  If it were Drewdelz, it would seem realer.

I didn't choose to be born.  I was born a baby with no perception of a definite reality.  According to the Bible, I am a sinner along with all of humanity because of the original sin of Eve and Adam eating the forbidden fruit.  Then later Jesus dies and now the only way to avoid everlasting Hell is to believe in Him.  Holy !@#$%, I say, now the only way I can avoid eternal damnation is to forcefully believe in something.  Great, I'm going to Hell then, well, me and Satan are going to plan the End of Days, so just so you know, you now have a heads up and such.

That took forever to read, but it was worth it.  The information was solid and well written.  Finally and article that shows the truths of the industry.

Many sources are unnamed, and he bases things on his own opinions. His own facts seem skewed. I don't believe this shows much, if any "truth" of the industry.
While a lot of the article is not sourced, that doesn't mean it isn't true, anyone who takes the time to look can prove that.  Some of it may be non-true, but the message is true.

What I mean is that I find it ridiculous that since all the other themes have the feature, the SMF default version is the only one that hasn't had it implimented.  It is a pretty easy feature to have in SMF.  I don't care when it's fixed, so long as it is as soon as possible.

Lol, I know what you mean.  I find it a little ridiculous that it is not in place when SMF has in as a drop-down option box in the theme settings.  It takes less than a minute to add.

No, I was asking for it. To have it, the admin has to modify the theme settings of the SMF default theme in the admin panel.

for the SMF theme.  It should be in theme settings somewhere, just switch the box to say show member names.

This would help out to see who all is viewing a popular topic without the need to constantly go to who's online.  Note, the Board default already has this, but the SMF theme doesn't.  At least I think it is that way, I am not sure.

EDIT: Thanks for adding this, I am now locking the topic.  Problem Solved ^_^.

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords came out and I decided that I would name myself after the Four Sword itself.  Throw in a fancy number and you get 4Sword.

Illusion of Gaia was one of the games I grew up with.  My favorite levels were probably the Golden Ship and either the floating thing above the desert or Mu.  I still haven't beat the guy who you get to fight after getting all the Red Ruby things, but I try every now and then.  I hope I can download it onto the Revolution somehow so I can play it there.

Debates / Re: Smoking
« on: April 10, 2006, 03:45:03 pm »
The issue is really whether or not the non-smoker has a choice in this.  Do they want to breathe in the second-hand smoke?  No, but some arrogant smoker is breathing smoke right in front of them.  Considering that about 2/3 of the cancer-causing chemicals are in second-hand smoke, I think that this violates the rights of the person who chose not to smoke.

Why the hell are there restaraunts with smoking sections and non-smoking sections?  A smoker would say that it provides equallity.  Well, they are wrong.  The air in the restaraunt is often circulating throughout the room, getting into everyone's section.  It would be like if somebody peed in a swimming pool.  There is no non-pee section as the pee circulates through the whole pool.

They should probably empty out everything in the Off-Topic section into the SPAM since that is what it was originally also.
