Domo also losses all those points for mentioning Job For A Cowboy in his favourites.

I don't know where to start with my favourite bands because I've listened to so many.
So I'll just list a few genres.
Pretty much any metal. Specifically, death metal, some power metal, black metal from time to time.
Jazz is also one of my favourites because its just plain awesome.
And some bands that really stand out in other genres: RHCP, Mars Volta, Jethro Tull.

Domo gets major points for mentioning more than a single good artist in his post.
<3  You get bonus points for recognizing more than a few of them.

Domo also losses all those points for mentioning Job For A Cowboy in his favourites.

Really, you don't like them?  They're not the best, but I enjoy them once and a while...  What about The Faceless?  You have to like them.  I love technical/progressive death metal.

Well, since everyone is making lists I think I'll elaborate a little on my tastes. Besides Avenged Sevenfold and Bad Religion, my tastes vary widely from speed metal to even a bit of pop. Here's a list:

Jason Mraz
Daniel Bedingfield
Modest Mouse
Suicidal Tendencies
Bright Eyes
Live
System of a Down
Tool
Bad Religion
Avenged Sevenfold
Korn
The Lions
Matchbox Twenty
DragonForce
Megadeth
Nirvana
Dave Matthews Band
New Found Glory

...And I can't think of any more at the moment. Oh yeah, and there's NOFX...but...let's not ever mention them again after this.

Why not?  I don't listen to them much nowadays, but they used to be one of my favorites when I was really into punk.  BTW, nice list, minus the more poppy stuff, (which honestly is pretty good as far as pop is concerned...and there's only 2 or 3 on there that I'd consider pop).  Props for mentioning the poppier stuff though as it's good to listen to what sounds good to you no matter what other people think about it.

BTW, as a general comment to all those that have posted in this thread thus far, I am VERY happy no one has listed any country.  In the town and state that I live, (small town South Dakota), country is very popular...it makes me what to shoot myself...Well, I'll take that back, I can stand some of the really old school stuff like Willie Nelson.

I'll try not to list too many, because such long lists bother me.

Here is just a bunch of the artists I listen to daily, in no specific order. Except alphabetical.

Anti-Flag
Arctic Monkeys
Bloc Party
David Bowie
Death Cab For Cutie
The Fall Of Troy
Fionn Regan
Jump, Little Children
Kings Of Leon
L'Arc~en~Ciel
The Living End
Nine Inch Nails
Placebo
The Raconteurs
Radiohead
The Shins
Silverchair
Thom Yorke
VAST
The White Stripes

I think that's most of the main ones.

Also, credit to Domo for listening to a bunch of cool, lesser known bands like Rilo Kiley. You won't find them in my list because I don't really have enough of their songs to give them a spot, but I like them, and I recognised the majority of your list.

<3  Nice list.  I honestly haven't heard of some them, but those that I have heard of I like.  I forgot to include Kings of Leon and The Living End in my list.  I'm honestly surprised that anyone here would know who Kings of Leon are, much less The Living End.  None of my friends IRL even know about The Living End, (despite how much I've tried...).  Anti-Flag brings back memories and I would list Radiohead/Thom Yorke but I don't listen to them/him enough.

Really? Kings of Leon are a pretty big band, as are The Living End, in Australia at least.

Just out of curiosity, which of the ones I listed haven't you heard of?

I've heard of Kings of Leon. Theyre ok, not really my type of music though.
I also have major love for Muse, All American Rejects and Blink 182.

Well, I can't deny that they're a great band. They have a large fan base after all. I just personally don't like them for some reason, I guess some of they're music gives me a headache. Though I did like their cover of "Go Your Own Way" which featured Bad Religion singer Greg Graffin.

Actually, Bright Eyes can get pretty country at times. They're not straight country though, they mix up their styles and have a little punk rock and poppish sounding stuff in some of their music.

Thank you. Evangelion's one of my favorite shows ever, and its music is fantastic.

Then I recommend you watch Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.  It's Gainax's newest show, and the most epic !@#$% I've ever seen.

The Beatles
The Jimi Hendrix Experience
The Who
The Doors
Led Zeppelin
Bob Dylan
The Rolling Stones

I like Bob Marley. He started in the 60s.  :P  There's probably other 60s music I listen to, but I just can't think of any. Pink Floyd, um... You know what? That's about it.

Silverstein.

Enjoy your generic screamo.

Oh hell naw! You did not just call Silverstein generic.

They pioneered the genre, man! Plus their new album "Arrivals and Departures" is awesome stuff. Good mix of screaming and melody.
Discovering The Waterfront is my fave CD of Silversteins.
