Entertainment / Which excites you more?
« on: September 28, 2006, 01:10:30 pm »
I have to say that Phantom Hourglass excites me more than Twilight Princess. WW was great, even though I've only played it a few times. :P I really loved the style of it, and the DS has been great so far and I think it's pretty cool to see what they can do with the stylus. Then again, pretty much the same thing goes for TP and the Wiimote. :P

EDIT: And I'm sorry if there's already a topic on this.

Gohma. She was really really easy, but I thought she was the most well-made (as in the way she attacks, and her weakness), plus, the first time I played OoT she just scared the !@#$% out of me. Barinade is really hard the first time, too.

When them zombies get stuck in a corner its impossible   :(  Fun tho.
No, it's not I jumped on the ball, and then moved into the corner, then moved the other way, and it went that way too.

Great game Moldy, but there are two physics things you should change:
Please, make it less sensitive.
And make it so you can move while you're in the air. That'll help a lot. XD

Anyway, really, really, nice! And yeah, there is a lot of great software for mac. But it normally doesn't come for Windows, eh? :P Joke's on us. I found a free 3D game-making tool for Macs once.. forget what it was called though.

Java chats are annoying anyway... :P albeit convenient. If you use Firefox, just get the chatzilla extension instead.

Yeah, teh only possible way to save a completely "perfect" file is to save it as an uncompressed format. However, due to the loss of color problems in png, it works for almost everything and makes most other formats unnecessary.

Not bad, his head looks a bit bigger than normal. And in that style it's pretty hard to make Link look like an adult at all. \:-)

Well, it's fully custom, though you could send a pic of the potrait you think it looks like for comparison.
H_B @ Maybe some day... XD
Nah, I just meant it looks like a face icon from an old-school RPG. But, I'm somewhat anti-edits so that's why I asked.

If you mean animations fotware, I reccomend you do something like this:

Draw and scan each image.
Photoshop it up, make it nice and smooth and vector-y (and solid).
stick in backgrounds
and animate it in something like powerpoint or the like.

It's a very unprofessional solution, and not apt to be at all effective for distributing in any way, shape, or form, but most good methods require shelling out big bucks. Unless there's some nice free software for this that I'm unaware of... which I slightly doubt.

If it's custom, then, pretty good. Looks like it'd feel at home as the "character icon"/face thing of a character in an RPG in the style of shining Force. anyway, nice job. Then again, if it's a fairly minor edit.. :P

Well, I honsetly don't see where anyone has a right to say "This isn't ZFGC anymore" or that they want things to change. Honestly, because everything changes, but really, how could anyone avoid change - some people leave, some people come, some people stay but change as people and then act different.. whatever. But yeah, chang eis brought about by those that want it. If you want change, don't threaten to leave unless things change! That isn't gonna help - people will just be like "Well, fine, leave, if all you're gonna do is complain, leave" and won't care. And I think it shows that ZFGC has changed for the better that you would complain, and all these members would step up and try to get a project going.

Anyway, a zelda minigame contest sounds like a great idea. We should lay down some criteria.
