God I hate how they have like 3 minutes of his video than like 7 minutes of ads and !@#$%.
Anyways, Spore never lived up to the hype I thought it would be imo, but from what I played, it was pretty good (sometimes boring). It was wayyy over rated as well.

The thing most people tend to do with Spore is take it too seriously. It's the kind of game you can only play if you treat it all as one big joke.

I hate it when game designers come up with an amazing concept, but create a crappy game out of it. Spore could be so much more.

generally speaking, this is right. And that's coming from a mainly nintendo fan.
The only major thing I disagree with Yahtzee about is SSBB, which I love. But his review was still hilarious. Game Overthinker seem to pull random ideas of of the air and make them fit his preferance.

Yahtzee is becoming more and more of a garden variety troll, with videos.
I still don't hate him or anything but I certainly don't find his videos interesting.
Pretty much every video comes down to two possible outcomes: game sucks, or occasional game is awesome.
I like the overthinker because he takes obscure non-issues and over-thinks them.
It's a gimmick that creates content, it's usually stuff people don't discuss, and after I watch his videos I can't think of anything left to say.
Yahtzee's gimmick is talking fast, but really saying nothing.

This clearly shows you don't watch his videos. He inserts commentary about developers, nuances of the games themselves, the industry in general, and things like Webcomics. And he does it in a quirky way.
I like the overthinker because he takes obscure non-issues and over-thinks them.
It's a gimmick that creates content, it's usually stuff people don't discuss, and after I watch his videos I can't think of anything left to say.

Of course they're non-issues, because they have no substance. He can't even get his analogies correct. His videos are excessively lengthy and full of bias. He wows you because you lack critical thinking skills.

Are you sure you want to even bother with that? I've watched all his videos and all his little inserts you mention again is just popular topic at any any any gaming forum.

They're not wasting their time trying to convert people they don't want, and they're not wasting my time trying to convince me whether I already agree or not- They expect I've already made my mind up.
They're skipping the arguments and getting straight to the main points.
What makes it easier to the Overthinker is that he's usually hitting on the metaphysical why, and delving more-

Even longer than that for half the episode.

You may watch them but you don't pay any attention to them if you're bringing up stupid arguments like that.
Seems that people focus on the highlights of the video and don't pay attention to anything else that he says. (see:Ryan)

Don't bother pointing out his criticism, that's kind of what a critic/reviewer does. He at least does his fact checking before posting his videos.
