I'm in, though I honestly can't remember the last time I played StarFox. I think I'll lose, but might as well try right? Sign me up.

Actually, both ZSNES and Snes9x are TAS compatible. So this is gonna be a tough one to judge, unless you force the players to use a console. Which would mean no entries. :(

The idea is that we trust them not to use em :P.... but yeah, Star Fox is really hard to play slowed down too; lol

But then again, you could just check for re-records. Even though a clever player could remove them easily.

Ah, this contest is fun. I'm probably getting not-so-awesome scores compared to all of you guys, but my trusty (and dusty) USB gamepad is enjoying its first use in a looong time. :D

Just wondering, for "acquisition" purposes: is "Super Weekend" a separate ROM game from the original StarFox?

How are we supposed to upload to youtube when youtube doesn't allow videos to go over 10 minutes?
Title: Re: Contest #3: High Score

Knivu - Yeah, its a special tournament edition that is only three levels.

Hoffy - Each Super Weekend session is just 4 minutes long. You have to see how many points you can get in that time.

What software do you suggest using for actually recording PC games? Fraps?

Just get Snes9x or something to record your video :P Everything *required to play* this game has avi output

Snes9x's video recorder didn't work for me. It would make a video, but when I played it back it was a completely different thing than what I had done. As if somebody else was playing, doing things totally different from me. I found a free screen recorded for Mac called Copernicus, and I'm sure there are comparable options on Windows.

were you using AVI output or were you using the "movie recorder"?; you want to go with AVI output. (runs flawless for me on both of those too o.o)

Uh, Movie Recorder. I didn't notice any option for AVI recorder, but I guess I am using the Mac version of SNES9x, so it may be different.

Yeah the movie recorder is odd for SF :( only way to do it properly is with AVI output, or you could use something that records the screen

I have a question. Is is ok if I enter a snex9x movie file?
I didn't use re-records or anything like that though, but I have dialup so it would take more an hour or more to upload a video.
I can't even watch smashguys video because of its slowness >_>

Gah, no place will take my video. ;___; Let me try a few more. Just for the record, I got 89,000 something points.

EDIT: o_O Gragh, Vimeo seemed so promising. Unfortunately it's just rainbow-static. ;____________;

There's a link on there to download MOV file, which appears to be the right size though, so try that maybe.
