I hope that they would make it about quantum mechanical catostrophic calamities caused by variations in the mathematical constants that we take for granted in our universe and there effects in other universes.

Can you imagine a universe where Pi is equal to exactly 3.15?

discuss.

Chrono break = sequel to Chrono Cross?

Well I imagine it to be a fusion of Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, basically travel through time and dimensions to stop lavos begining.

I dont really consider CC a sequel to Chrono Trigger, as it really didn't have anything to do with it other than Schala and stuff... It was pretty blegh... Alright as a standalone though (I imported it when Square was "unsure if it would make it to the states"); but anyway;

I see CB as a proper sequel; possibly involving Crono and Marle's kids... Although the stopping lavos from beginning wouldnt be possible since life originated from Lavos :P

no I mean :P destroying the creator of lavos :p basically they might be more than one lavos, then again yeah a true sequel would really be loved, I loved Magus and Frog story, but they could also do what Terranigma series does, basically they took the same story and made it in a different context, if you compare Terranigma, Ilusion of Gaia and Soul Blazer, you find nothing related just reviving earth, and humans, again I would not worry about what IT will contain, knowing the creators and the idea behind Chrono Trigger/Cross you will realize that the team are the best of the best :P, so lets just wait and see.

life originated from Lavos :P

Where are you getting that from?  The prehistoric era from Chrono Trigger takes place(mostly) before Lavos was on the planet, you actually see Lavos come down after you fight that irritating little guy with the T-Rex on the bridge.

I hate Chrono Cross.  I didn't like that girl, and the main character wasn't very interesting to me.  It just wasn't much fun to play.

It was the only RPG I played for a long time, going through it over and over to get all the endings and... everything.  I never killed Magus though, he was too cool to kill.  I wish there was a port of Chrono Trigger for the GBA, or maybe the DS.

As for Chrono Break...  I dunno.  And I don't want to know until it comes out.  Not that any of your guesses will be right, that's unlikely.

I've always found that aspect of it a little confusing, but I thought it was more that Lavos was more just feeding on human growth you know at the end when you have Lucca with you and she says all our art, science whatever for that thing. So whether he spead it up for the purpose of feeding on it I don't know.

When Lavos landed on earth, a piece of his shell broke loose and landed on the surface, The Frozen Flame, it was when humans came into contact with it they were able to reach the next step in evolution while also becoming linked with lavos or something, this is what made them able to use magic.

yep, not only that but thanks to lavos the flora and fauna we know was created, thats why in Chrono Cross the flora and Fauna are all prehistoric, and yeah thanks to lavos we were able to grow, and develope.

1. Chrono Trigger
2. Radical Dreamers
3. Chrono Cross

then it has to do with each other

I have radical dreamers; picture/text based games are blegh

Like I said; the only thing linking the 2 is Schala and Lavos, and it all about Queen Zeal using Schalas magic for Lavos. It's not really a proper continuation of the story (especially radical dreamers; that's a sidestep)... I don't really care if Lavos turned into the Time Devourer and merged with Schala, or that Kid is Schala's alternate dimension counterpart, lol I want to see more of what happens to the dimension in CT, not what happens on a tiny island thats in some obscure location in the Chrono Trigger world :s

What about the ghostly apparitions of Crono Lucca and Marle?
The fact that you actually go to Leene's Square in the future?

And Kid is a clone :(.

Then there is Belthasar, the guru, that's a link to CT D:

True. True. Massive link to CT, as it references MAIN CHARACTERS and IMPORTANT LOCATIONS from CT.

irrelevant; it's vaguely forced character and location cameos to make it feel like a sequel :s

It's a good game as a standalone, but meh... Proper sequel would be good
