Title: Stuffing the Ballot Box.
Post by: Mamoruanime on January 05, 2009, 12:19:24 am
First and foremost,
The staff can see what users vote for on a poll. We know exactly who votes for what option at any given time.

The question is, "Why did they add that feature?"... Well, it was because some users were "Stuffing the ballot box", and registering new accounts to vote in their favor on contests. This is greatly frowned upon and may result in a permanent ban depending on the contests rewards.

We've had contests in the past with real prizes, and it is fraud when you make an alternate account to vote in your favor or another users favor.

Do NOT make multiple accounts for contest polls (or any poll for that matter). It may seem a bit trivial, but contests are fun events, and rigging the votes ruins it for other people.

Heres what will happen if you rig the voting:
1- You will be disqualified from the event.
2- You will be disqualified from future events on the forum. Blacklisted from participating in contests. Your votes will be ignored, and so will your entries.
3- Depending on the contest rewards, you may be permanently banned from the forum.
