I grabbed mine today for $8 - after trading in an XBOX and a bunch of games, none of which (games/system) I use anymore. :D

The system is great, though the lack of a game selection so far sucks. I went ahead and picked up Dungeon Hunter: Alliance because it was cheap. It's... entertaining, but it's a fairly straight-forward dungeon crawler, down to the atrocious writing in the story. Still, the Vita is a beauty to behold (and to hold <3), and I'm glad I got it. :3

Post by: Infinitus on February 25, 2012, 04:37:10 pm: I am tempted, just because I get it like < 60% off thanks to staff discount. But I doubt I would ever use it much, and even with the discount, its a lot of $$$ to justify spending on something I doubt I will use.

Plus I can just play on them at work lol.

Other than that, :/ Hope it does well as some of my favorite franchises made good games as PSP exclusives.

To be fair you don't need the memory cards unless you plan on doing a lot of game-downloading (which I don't know about you, but I would probably not).

The actual game retail cards have 10% free space on them for save-games and alike.

Kinda sucks that I can't play my PSOne Classics on it yet though. However, I still have my PSP for that. =P Add me on PSN though! Take a wild guess at what the username is. Haha.

Really pleased with the system so far, only real things im displeased about is the lack of PSone classic support at the moment and I think the memory card capacity at the moment is too small.

Filled my 16gb and we didn't get the 32gb's in the UK ;(.

Heard they're making bigger ones though :D

And I refuse to buy physical copies of games because Sony's gonna DICK anybody who does just like they did with Betamax and UMD and every other format ever. PSN will at least carry over to the PSP3 in 2020

I bought the 3G model and a copy of Uncharted for it... I like it so far. I kinda wish it had L2/R2 and L3/R3 though. Those could be emulated by the touchscreens though I guess. It would be nice if Sony changed their stance on PS2 and started putting up PS2 classics at some point for Vita. A lot of games are getting re-released with HD remakes but it'd be nice to play some of the less popular games. Or even not have to rely on Atlus to get the best version of Persona 3 portable to make it the Persona system :P

Its selling fairly well worldwide so far considering we're in the slowest part of the retail season so we'll see how it goes overall. I think this guy has a shot at dethroning Nintendo if Sony plays their cards right. All its gonna take is a carefully placed price drop, some improved infrastructure on the integration aspects of the device, and some games that are really worth buying for it. Maybe even some PS3 ports? Who wouldn't want to play the entire Uncharted series portable
