1. Introduction

Well, I thought, since there are only a few fangames posted here, we, the community, could make our own Community Project, which would consist of all members of ZFGC (ZFGConnection) working together to create the ultimate Zelda fangame. And if you can't program, then do something else. Sprite! Can't sprite, then conceptualize! Have no imagination at all? Then, er... um... then advertise and recruit new members :D!

2. Phase One

Well, Phase One has now begun, and we need to finish that before we get further. Phase One is recruiting. This step will take a few weeks, maybe a month to get all the team members we need - coders, spriters, concept artists, advertisers and any job you can think of.
Now, a message to all who want to join:

  • To all coders
    You need to have a decent bit of coding experience - walking engines, sword engines, Zelda-y stuff.
  • To all spriters
    You need to be able to sprite decently in MC style. Not hugely good, and you can rip or edit if you need to, but I'd like it to be MC style.
  • To all concept artists
    Take inspiration from Minish Cap and Twilight Princess, and Wind Waker. Take the amazingly awesome, emotional characters from Wind Waker and take awesome enemy and race ideas from TP, such as the TP Gorons and Zoras.

PM your applications to cb43569, on either Connection or Central, doesn't matter ;).

If this is a ZFGConnection community project, would it not make more sense to recruit from people who are in your own community already, rather than coming to ZFGC to recruit?

Sol's still working on it, it's just temporarily paused because I haven't worked out the Ocarina of Time model format yet... I'm getting there, though, I'm certain I'm working on a genuine dump, seeing as I was the one that dumped it :P.

Can i help with out Codes ? :D

I have there a Engine for unregistred 6.1 GM without Codes and Scripts ?
Now i make a Item use and cast Engine !

No mouse-powered spell casting, please ???. We're currently just recruiting spriters and coders, and we need votes on which programming language to use - GM or BMAX.

There already is a big zelda project going on. It is a community project. All the teams are already set up, and it is being led by King Mob, the coder of arguably the best fan game here right now. There are even boards being set up dedicated to it. I'd suggest not doing this.

If you're doing this in GM, I can help with coding and concepts. If not, I can help with concepts, although expect me to produce (think up) the darker things.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but werent there community projects before? like the one on gamemaker forum? they canceled it right?
Anyway, what I mean its that any project can be cancel so why not give it a try, its worth it.
And Bistian...what was that xD
