The first look trailer on Kotaku gave me a throbbing boner. I'm ready for some Vietcong Zombies.

Anyone else excited? And just to be safe...

Because I'm sure one is one it's way right now.

You mean people actually play CoD?
:P
In all seriousness though to answer your question; Nah. Don't really care for CoD much :\
-
Sorry, I never really liked CoD to begin with.

Call of Duty 7: Snake Eater

As long as the multiplayer isn't as broken and shitty as MW2 yeah I'll play it. New setting so should be decent, right? D:

Treyarch has always been superior in multiplayer in my opinion, so it should be good. And I have hope the single player campaign will now have more of a story than WaW based on what I saw in that trailer. There won't just be one new setting either, it's set at different time periods during the Cold War, so you'll be ranging from Vietnam, to Korea, to Soviet Russia (spy !@#$%), and probably South America too. I'm obviously more pumped than every other ZFGCer on this though.

Too many Call of Duty games in a row. It's become a bit of a milkcow... :-X

yeah I quite liked WaW's multiplayer, should really buy that game again. I lvoed the bootcamp part, where it pitted you against people of your skill set. Plus this one map had a bell tower which I just owned at sniping from :3

Does it matter if they're all really good? Modern Warfare got a 9.4 on IGN, World at War got a 9.2, Modern Warfare 2 got a 9.5. It's reasonable to keep making more of these games if they sell well. And they sell well for a reason, they are fun.
I'm probably the only one that thinks this, but Treyarch > Infinity Ward. And Treyarch's future looks a bit brighter than Infinity Ward's. All that legal stuff that's dissolving the company or whatever.
-
Well, Infinity Ward's future is as a shell of its former self forever serving Activision. The people from Infinity Ward have a much brighter future at Respawn Entertainment.
-
Right, but any good future for the Call of Duty franchise now lies in the hands of Treyarch. Let's hope they do it right.
-
I might end up getting this. I've never been too much of a fan of FPS's and CoD in general but I really liked WaW, especially Nazi Zombies. I'd rather save my money for New Vegas though.
-
Oh god another CoD game.
I really hate war shooters.
-
I'm reasonably surprised that the Halo thread is full of douchebaggy remarks about it being milked, but this particular thread has only one post about CoD being milked. It's amusing considering this series is considerably more milked.
-
As far as multiplayer goes, they need to make the guns simulate their real-life counter-parts more accurately.
I mean MW2...getting killed in 2 shots across the !@#$% map with an MP5 or something like that is really irritating.
I do look forward to seeing more of the older precursors to today's modern firearms.
M60 sounds nice :D

Agreed it is being milked. But if the games sell well and score well, than there is a good reason. There are a lot of franchises being milked that I care about. If I would start complaining about milking just because I don't like the franchise, that would be hypocritical.
Second, I don't care enough about CoD to be bothered by the milking. I won't buy any CoD game any way.

Wait, I forgot to say how this is just as bad as halo.
Pretty much anything I say about one of them applies to the other.

Ok they are obviously not revolutionary sequels we're talking about, but they sell well. Stop complaining, because they sell well for one reason. People like to play them. Why would someone like to play them? Maybe it's because they're fun, but that's just a guess.

Who said I was complaining? I've played both, I just don't think either are half as good as everyone hypes them up to be.
-
Again, if a game sells well then a lot of people play it. If a lot of people play them, they are obviously going to hype them up as much as possible. It's just marketing.

Black Ops reveal trailer, looking promising. I can already tell I'm going to get very pissed at crossbow snipers online. :D
