I launched Desura this morning and I was like... "Wait wasn't DJvenom working on that?"

Gotta say, pretty awesome man.

I beat the demo two weeks ago I think. Definitely a scary game. Atmosphere, paranioa, boo gotcha moments. It's got it all.

All of those ridiculous things you speak of were based off a PC game called American Mcgee's Alice. The game was a dark and twisted tale of Alice's return to wonderland which ran in the Quake 3 Engine.

for some reason four people "got the same idea". I think there have been two sci-fi shows and one movie. Later there is going to be an American Mcgee's Alice movie.

Sorry Mammy, sorry Tiff fix'd now.

I've ran it on just about anything. If your components were made in the last five or six years you should be able to run it. For anyone interested this is still going on so here's another trailer.

I'm not able to play the audio right now so forgive me if the music is awful.

I assume everyone knows, but I didn't see a topic so:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xw7d34XyG1A" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xw7d34XyG1A</a>

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nGRL-Pa6pw" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nGRL-Pa6pw</a>

What should they add? I was thinking they could have the seasons in Hyrule change depending on the time of year you played it.
(could be determined by your time zone and  calendar perhaps?)

Yeah, anyway for those who haven't heard Notch's user verification server exploded.

So what did he do? Remove the user verification and declared the game free until  he fixes the server. Just hit enter at the login screen once you get the .exe no login necessary.

www.minecraft.net

Make sure you TURN ON THE FRAMELIMITER otherwise your gpu will MELT your computer.
(this is mostly for high end cards with low end coolers like the NVIDIA 8000 series and high end notebook gpus, but turn it on just to be safe.)

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQyhI4Vy3EQ" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQyhI4Vy3EQ</a>

Minecraft is now Turing complete make switches, tracks, mechanisms etc.
Singleplayer maps are generated and therefore unique. Maps can be generated to be 8 times the surface area of the planet via settings.

survive the night.

Its dangerous to go alone take this crafting guide:

It will be un-free once he fixes his server.

a Link to the Past. they might have to make link look a little more normal than he does in the concept art though. (I dunno LA 3D did a nice job)

either the first Star Ocean or Tales of Phantasia.

either Castlevania I-III or IV

Megaman II

(oh yeah I'm back)

I'm searching for another horror game to play (preferably for PC). Here's what I've played so far

Silent Hill 1-5 (it's been a while)

Left 4 Dead

Doom 3

System Shock 2

Resident Evil 1-5

Half Life (all expansions)

Half Life 2 (all expansions)
Clocktower 1

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyloblyobly

American  Mcgee's Alice (god that was forever ago)

I've thought about Dead Space but I was looking for a game that was more psychologically scarry and les BOO GORE AND STUFF LULZ (then again i haven't played it)

"Taken from an interview with MS spokeperson David Dennis:

Finally, Dennis tackled the recent prediction by Everyone's Favorite Analyst, Michael Pachter of Wedbush Morgan, that the price of Xbox LIVE subscriptions would effectively double in time.

Curiously, he responded by saying "I don't foresee a scenario where we're going to double the price of LIVE anytime in the next couple months." Which is foreboding, as Pachter was speaking in terms of years, not months."

dunno could be lousy fear mongering (first time I've used that term to refer to a console but... oh well)

:( now people have to pay more to use the internet they already have and are probably already paying more for.

the long awkward silence in this thread has spawned my presence.

er...

but, yeah Borderlands looks pretty awesome. Game Trailers gave it a great review. The NPCs act more like billboards for quests that interactive characters. But the gameplay seems quite good, and the art style is quite impressive. Since it's all about immersion you can spend a good "30 hours on the game" then again I spent 25 in Assassins parkour because it was just that damn immersive.

EDIT: let me revise the next part of my pre-purchase review

BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH. HURPANURPADURP WOOP WOOP ZOOP BLAH BLAH BLAH DURRR BLAH BLAH BLAH BLA CO-OP! BLAH BLAH DERP.

over all I believe you should see that my review entirely justifies a purchase.

well I don't know if you guys of heard of it but someone is developing Link's Awakening in 3D. I seem to vaugely remember a similar project being discussed on here back in the day. Or maybe we were trying to do aLttP 3D.

regardless here's my source: http://www.zeldainformer.com/2009/05/links-awakening-3d-again.php

the alpha test is quite impressive (note a new model for link was just created and new models for the npcs have yet to be created. Press F1 for the control scheme)

The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall, definitely impossible for me.

oh god. It reminded me of Zelda 2 where almost every town consisted of the same people with the same buildings... then again I never got that far in Zelda 2

*old man voice*: heh heh back when I was a kid we had a Zelda Artwork and General Artwork section on zfgc. It was filled with all kinds'a neat stuff and animu and mango. All them confounded kids and their illegal downloadin'. Back in my day you had to walk 10 miles in the snow barefoot to the game store. By the time you got there ya realized the store wasn't open that day or you got there too early.

 :P

but yeah bringing back the Artwork section wouldn't be that hard.
