New message but no message?

I have the "You have 1 new message" in the top right corner but I see no new message when I go into my PMs.
I tried refreshing and all that about 12 times already and still no new message.

Someone registered accounts mocking me again and sent out PMs to what I think was either all moderators or most moderators. I saw that the personal messages contained links which could be nefarious so I went into the database and deleted the messages manually, and then repaired the database so that the personal message recipients wouldn't be referring to non-existent personal messages. The database log table would still represent though that you have an unread message. I am a little unclear as to what you are saying otherwise though. Are you unable to clear the new message indication?

I can't clear out the "You have 1 new message" even with your link.

I went into the database and edited your unread message number to be 0. It should be fixed now although I could be wrong.

Got the same situation.
That PM must have been send by a toddler or something. Didn't make any sense.
