I felt it was two movies in one, one after the stadium explote and one before, first the hecking the stock was awesome! but just to make bruce wayne poor? wtf? I was expecting to see all gotham run through the malls and 7 elevens buying the last food because it all got so expensive, I mean you do all that to make batman poor? and for what he doesn't lose his awesome gadgets. They don't have money to pay the poor orphans kids? no problemo let's make a flying batmobile that no one uses for 8 years. The batbike stronger than the flying batmobile? wtf?, batman suddenly escapes from the police and suddenly meets catwoman in the roof how did he found her? Bane destroying Harvey's picture saying corruption and shitz while you see a perfect stable society?

And I can go on and on and on.
spolers alert this i the ending of batman the dark knight rises:

Side Quests / Re: [SUBMISSION] From farm to village
« on: July 23, 2012, 09:20:01 pm »
I would go with giving the name of Kakariko to the farmer ;), and so the village will be Kakariko Village, and just give a statue to link in the middle of the village :P.

Sprites/Tiles / [Submission]DarkNut
« on: July 13, 2012, 12:58:59 am »
Still incomplete just something I found on the internet:

the owner of the photobucket is Aab , each sprite is 64x64 somewhat big.

What is missing:

Name: Darknut

   Unarmed Attack- 1.25 HP
Must be Unarmed. It uses arm thrusts or punches you.

Name: Mighty Darknut(Red Darknut)

   Unarmed Attack- 1.25 HP
Must be Unarmed. It uses arm thrusts or punches you.

Apart from the previously mentioned ( well just the unarmed attack is missing) it's also missing the recolors.

Side Quests / [Submission]Seashell Dungeon
« on: July 12, 2012, 05:45:06 pm »
A dungeon in which locked doors can be open using seashells or keys found inside the dungeon, each door has a number with the required seashells you need to open it, each new area will have a puzzle, enemy spawn, subboss or even boss from other dungeon, if you leave this place the seashells you spent will return to you, and the doors you opened will be close again, so you will have to restart the dungeon each time you leave.

The chest you will encounter at different places will be arrow upgrade, bomb upgrade, etc, this will also require you to use seashells to open the chests.

At the end you will encounter a unique enemy and pretty hard too, perhaps equally harder than the last boss of the game, since you will require the 100% to get to him.

Another thing, perhaps not having all the arrow upgrades and bombs upgrades in here will be a good idea, since they should also have sidequest for them, and getting in all sidequest just seashells might be a little boring for the player, but let's say they are four arrow upgrades perhaps the first 2 are obtained by normal sidequest and the last two from this dungeon, same for everything.

Entertainment / Re: Ouya (a new kind of vg console)
« on: July 12, 2012, 02:00:46 am »
I don't really see the appeal. I can play a bunch of crappy phone games that I literally only touch when I'm taking a !@#$% or out somewhere and bored as hell?
The best game mentioned was Minecraft, and I bet even that is just gonna be the shitty phone version.

I can't believe this got over 3 million in two days.

Thats not the point. The point is that it is basically a home game console for indie developers to develop. The whole point is that they're trying to bring games back to the TV, where they belong. Just imagine the infinite possibilities where small-time game developers can actually make a profit and have their game be shown, unlike the 360's horribly placed Indie games section.
anyone knows if games made for this can be played on the pc ?, hmm not sure if developers might prefer to use this than pc..
here is canabalt a game mentioned in the video:

(atleast the flash version)

hah,you are right, but it seems that once it is released they expect to see people making games for the console only, that way their console will have more to offer than crappy phone games.

Side Quests / Re: Sidequest Needs List

how about a dungeon? at X Y or Z seashells collected you open the other like if it was a key, you will find enemies puzzles and chest with any upgrade bows arrows etc, the dungeon can be beatable once you obtain all the seashells ( they will also be keys it's not like the only keys are having n-number ofseashells)

« on: July 02, 2012, 03:26:07 am »
I agree about the credit, but ask permission is too much, it's fan game made from fans to fans, nothing more than that. The more barriers we put fewer fan games we see.
I really think that the prior here is to make a good and interesting game and learn a lot from that. We are amateur devs, not professionals.
I don't see anything wrong asking for permission for something someone else decided to take time to make, more if the artist doesn't mention if he wants his work to get used in a game or not.

Well, I remember long ago I saw a FourSword mockup made for the GBA, I really loved it, I thought that it kicked MC-style ass hardly, I however lost the website, and I wasn't able to find it no matter what, some days back someone posted retro pixelart over a pixelforum, and in there I could see the artist work posted, after searching the website and using Internet Wayback Machine I found it :,)

now that I look it it's still amazing, I was truly expecting more but this is a win for me, thanks to that site I started to sprite :D

Entertainment / Re: The Legend of Korra
« on: June 23, 2012, 11:14:19 pm »
Spoiler:
I really love this serie it has the charm, yet I dislike how she recovers all her powers in a minute, that was really odd, I mean they could easily add more into that than she just getting it, perhaps going with the guru in the temple that helps aang to unlock his avatar control, them who knows how Amon got his powers, maybe in the library buried from Aang, but who knows, I was expecting to see Korra trying to find out more about that perhaps in season 2 :P.

Also did anyone found it weird that no spirit has appeared at all?

appart from that I really enjoyed it must watch if you like Aang's serie.

will the bird race be in charge of it? perhaps humans and birds will work together to deliver the mail around hyrule, I like the corrupt idea, how about a basement with a minigame in which you have to sneak in and steal some packages or mails with money and other small treasures hidden inside.

As a part of a subquest for this basement idea might be that you see a family in hyrule complaining about not getting their package and you offer to get it by sneaking in.
