Dude, I played your demo and well... the engine is very solid. A little bit hard I think (I lost 1 time per minute haha). Anyway, I really liked it, very good job sir.
Btw, I found a bug. Maybe it's fixed now, maybe not. The thing is when I lost, Link was dying and a fairy touched him. He recovered all the hearts but the game over menu didn't appear.
Well, that's all dude. Greetings!!
Thanks for your comments, they are highly appreciated. Enemies will have completely new AI as of the new version I'm working on; they are no longer fixed on running Link over as they did before. In addition, there will be new varying types of enemies across the world, rather than just the select few you've witnessed before, as well as mini-bosses and bosses. As for the glitch, I'll fix that right now, but I would like to make an announcement about this. I mentioned before that I'd turn it into two separate versions, but I've decided I'll just work in this one more, and add my additional plans to the engine. All of the maps you see before you are totally re-envisioned, and larger. I've basically tripled the overworld size, I plan to add a lot more content, including but not limited to dungeons, sidequests, bonus dungeons, etc. I've also changed the system from using a giant room for the entire overworld to using different rooms as different sections of the overworld. Well, I believe that's all I have to say on this for now, I'll keep you guys updated when possible. Here are a couple sample screen of the newly envisioned maps:
EDIT: I'd also like to point out that I've changed the file saving system up, replaced the original MP3s with the MIDIs I managed to find of them, and thus unexpected errors should no longer occur. Not in the old download that's still available in the first post, however, but in an upcoming version I may release a demo of sometime.
