Feedback / Re: What Can We Do To Get More Life Here?
« on: May 19, 2014, 04:49:26 am »
I think the main thing that inhibits ZFGC is the fact that most game creators would rather create something new and original that they would be recognized for rather than a fan-game that they could not sell and would probably be seen by a very small amount of people. At the same time, a large number of us have been here for almost if not over a decade and are tethered here more by our overall love of games rather than our love of Zelda. Maybe we should just let ZFGC continue the way it is and enjoy the time (however infrequent) that we can spend together. :)

It's really nice for low-income households that cannot afford the more expensive models, however small the price discrepancy may be. Also nice for people who really don't bring their handhelds with them anywhere, but still like to play around the house.

Also, software makes the system in the end. So far while I did play a lot of smartphone games for a while, they lost my interest. I found that most don't have much depth and like Diminish said, playing a type of game designed for a controller is a little daunting.

To be honest, the 3DS is one of my favourite systems right now. There's something there for everyone and from what I've seen, much more to come. :)

Heh, I always hear people say ME2 is the best, but I prefer the scope and "freshness" of the first.

Entertainment / BrentalFloss thank you song!
« on: August 08, 2013, 01:00:47 am »
Don't know if there are any BrentalFloss fans around here but a few months ago he assisted some friends of his by offering to write a thank you song to whoever donated to a certain tier of their Kickstarter. I did and here's the song that he wrote for me:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyZ-zCYwqCo" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyZ-zCYwqCo</a>

Just thought it would be kinda interesting. If anyone else on here donated, post your video here! XD

It is. I've never played a game so well designed and polished with such great performances from their voice actors. I'd recommend a PS3 just for that game.

I'm sure I have seen those palm trees somewhere around, and not King Mob's. I'm almost sure they're on the game.

Except they weren't. You can also see that King Mob's sprite wasn't even finished and that Moffett took the part that was complete and mirrored it horizontally.

Why not use the leaves?
He created something new from something old.

That wasn't his. He didn't even credit King Mob.

Xbox 720 sounded better, anyway, want I want to know is if Xbox One" can play Xbox 360/original game(s) if possible.

Currently looking into this, also I am guessing older controllers are still functional on it am I right?

Neither. It isn't backwards compatible and 360 controllers won't work. Also, indies can't self-publish so !@#$% them. I had to shield my eyes at certain parts it was so bad.

In addition to what TFS said, please give credit to Zelda Reorchestrated for the dungeon theme as well.

Other than that looks pretty nice!

Well...do you have anything to show? People aren't going to be interested if you just ask with no proof of concept for them to be interested in. Might as well tell us about your project such as the genre which is, well, pretty important if you're looking for people.

I can't really think of a show that did that for me, but I can think of a game:

Every time I hear this, I feel like I'm six years old and it's Christmas. :D
