Improvements To My Cinema Scenes

I am sort of making a game (progressing slowly, and I work on it off and on). Anyways, I thought that I should improve my old scenes. You can see that they improved...dramatically.

I can see already that some of the outlines on the character are the right thickness on some areas, and way too small at other places. Also the hills are a little too blurry, maybe.

The throne loses a little of its depth by modifying it like that, somehow... If I may ask, why do the second and shirt (I mean third... but that's such an awesome type, I had to leave it in  ;) ) shorts (hmm, typing while thinking about putting away laundry is a bad idea), er, shots, have photos as the backgrounds?

Well, actually, all three are photos. The first is an outer space picture -> HERE.

I just thought that they fit the style. Do you think I should make different looking backgrounds. It seems the throne does lose a bit of depth in the first picture. It also doesn't seem as straight and rigid, and more like  clay. I'll see if I can maybe straighten it up and make it look more like a throne.

Wtf? why is it catoony then real?. the other screens are all cartoony, I don't think the grass fits at all.

Also the smudging on the ship = : /

Well, I wanted to give it that 'mystical' feeling, sort of like the sacred realm from OoT, than anything. It's not actually supposed to be in space.
