Hi All! This is an animation that I've been working on for a few days. It's very WIP so any comments/crits would be appreciated. Ideally, it'll be used for my secret fan game. *Whoops* the cat's out of the bag now  XD

There's music, so make sure that your speakers are on. (I'm not sure if the volume is very well normalised, so you may need to turn your volume up or down depending on your computer.)

It's written in Blitz3D btw. Hope you like it!

What do you think of this HUD icon? It's meant to be a C key button. Obviously, a game played on PC would need a PC-related HUD rather than a HUD based on the console controllers.

There's something about it that I'm not happy with. Can anyone help?

Graphics / Help with a Recolour

Okay, I know recolouring isn't the hardest of things, but I'm having some trouble with this.
I'm trying to recolour minish cap Link to look like Dark Link. My problem is, he seems more monochrome than dark. Another problem is that I want the tunic, hair and face to be clearly distinguishable, but also to still seem dark.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Coding / MC Collision Algorithm

Hi. I'm currently working on a MC engine, but one area is a little tricky - collision detection. I don't mean sword-hits-enemy collision, I mean the way in which Link collides with chests, trees, statues etc.

Sure I could code in a collision radius or draw collision maps for each object I want to add, but would they have really done that in the game? I'm just wondering if anyone had any ideas for a possible algorithm that would calculate the distance that Link is allowed to get to an object, based on the game-size of that object.

Hi. How hard is it to make a sprite sheet, starting from an initial sprite?

What I mean is, once you have the initial character sprited in his/her standing pose, how easy is it to make new poses?

Also, what techniques do you guys use in making new poses? Do you draw it from scratch each time? Or do something else?

Hi all, I've recently been trying my hand at spriting. I've started making Zelda, and I was wondering what you think of it? It's only an outline atm; there's no shading and the colour scheme is EXTREMELY basic.
I'm happy with her dress, but any help with the head and shoulders would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi all. I've just recently noticed that some people such as piers and greatlordganondorf are ripping models from Twilight Princess. I'm not a bad 3d modeller, and would be interested in obtaining these models for myself. Can anyone provide an explanation of how this is done, or what tools are required?
