Yep that's right!Link to the Past-Game Boy Edition...

This is going to be a remake in the style of Link's Awakening using the story and elements from Link to the Past.  This way
the game feels more like a port rather than a remake with worse graphics.  Story will stay the same.  Items will stay the same.
Graphics will be as close as possible to Link's Awakening.  Music is being edited/created to sound like sound from a Game Boy.
Several people are already involved in this.  If you wish to get involved, post here http://www.zfgc.com/forum/index.php?topic=13621.0.

Here are some screenies...the first is the actual title screen in game...Credit to Hyrule_Swordsman....the second is a concept of Link's House outside.

Hope you will will enjoy this as much as I enjoy making this project.

If you wish to support, simply paste the title screen into your sig or use this

Finished concepts of Link's house and Hyrule Castle...

no click and play :P  its an engine i made myself
the engine comes with an easy graphical editor where you can fully design maps
just remember since this is GB all maps have to be 16x16 and thus fit together like that
ill be making all the scripts and quests though

No. Don't remake a Zelda game in a different type of Zelda graphics. That takes no creativity. It's enough to make a fan game - you have all the characters, story, graphics, soudns, etc. You're essentially taking a game and changing the graphics - not to custom, but to a style already established. Sorry, I frown down upon this.

Okey Scooter, First...Gameplay is being changed to LA...Second...For my first big game I wanted something easy but challenging...
Last...if you frown then I hope you dont play ANY remake by ANYONE...that include official remakes from the companies....
Just saying, wasn't trying to start an argument...Any Scoot I hope you will like it in the end...

Happier note uploaded a new concept...It's of hyrule castle...some stuff has changed from the SNES version...

Slight tiling error in the top right hand corner near the hole, you've missed a section of wall there.

Redoing ALTTP in GB style? That's even worse than games like OOT2d or MM2d. You're taking a game with pre-designed levels, characters, sounds etc. and all you're doing is changing them to seem as though the original game was really a game for a worse system. It's like taking TP and making all the models low-poly and all the textures low-res and changing the resolution to 640x480.

EDIT: Changed my post a bit to avoid starting a flame war.
