That's pretty good, much better than the one at VGmaps.

I was talking to my friend last night, and he was mentioning about how in 1980, he thought the internet would become this amazing place where people from across the world would share ideas. I was telling him about how this project [KOT] has worked, lurching along for years and drawn by different people from across the globe, and he thought it was beautiful. And he was right, it's awesome. :D

Looks pretty good. The color scheme looks a little... lighter to me, but that's no problem, it still looks awesome. Good job, can't wait to see more :D

Thanks to all the compliments. Yes, it is a bit lighter, it uses the GBA colors.

Ah, that explains it. I've never really liked the GBA colors THAT much, look a little washed out to me, but it's still great.

Ew.. GBA sprites have a higher brightness on the sprites/tiles for some reason.. I prefer the SNES version because of this.

It'll be an 8bit image in the end, so pallets could be swapped to something desirable. Just easier for me to fly around the games with VBA.

Update, the Mysterious Forest is completed, I also started sectioning off parts of the overworld in my first post.

Are these for your own use or do you plan to make them open as long as credit is given?

It's open for use by anyone.

EDIT:
Update. Forgot to add some varied dirt tiles on the Mysterious Forest map. I also included a tileset WIP. I will eventually add Richard's Castle to the first post.

It's good.  XD *has some eye-candy* Would be nicer if you tried using the aLttP hill/cliff thingies though.

Yeah, I was debating that. LTTP style also has something similar to LA's little ledge bricks. Although I have no clue which style to use.

Another update:
Finshed the graveyard area, and connected most of the map between Richard's castle, and the Mysterious Forest. I also made some overall tweaks to the Toronbo Shores. I changed the pallet on the gravel type sand. I also made some minor changes to most of the other maps. Like not having doors closed. I will update individual map links in my first post later today.

looks awesome ^_^

My only critique isn't so much about the map as it's about the mockup in your sig :P

The HUD can't be transparent, because it shows a part of the room below your present location. If you're at the very bottom of the map, it'll bork :p
