I don't think anyone can deny that this is a blatant ripoff of the Nintendo Wii. Discuss.

Why not stop looking at this as a terrible action by Sony and look at it for what it really is, an obvious success for Nintendo. I mean, that is what innovations become. They are created and then become standard, or at least common. You can't blame Sony for trying to incorporate a successful technology into their next console. Because basically, all this is, is Sony admitting that Nintendo was right...

1. You can't tell anything from that diagram

2. the ps4 isn't coming out in 2010

3. Sony had a motion sensor type patent already years ago

the amount of Nintendo fanboyism in this topic is pathetic

Switching it to 800 x 600 to try and see it better,  i could make out some of it, i still don't see how any of that proves it's for motion sensoring. Nor do i see anything that states Sony filed it.

Looking at the date of the Patent, December 7, 2006

Which still is just basically a motion sensor and a sensor device

except the one on the link was filed May 27, 2005

really? last time I heard about the ps3 fanboys saying that the ps3 was awesome, this and that...I finish wasting 600 on a ps2 with different look -.-

Tut tut, keep the flaming down please.

It's a good thing that even though the Wii insides are the same, the controller, sorta isn't. It's a light gun, a mouse, and a motion sensor in one. Well...I find that pretty original.

Ofcourse if Sony is actually serious about this idea, they suck.

Most people only play with the outside of a console. And for the outside, the wii is the most different.

oh that contradictory statement makes me smile. Limey isn't a Sony fanboy. Limey's like me: we like ALL video games, whether they're on the Wii, Playstation, or XBox. Hell, I love my Wii, but I still tend to play my PS2 more. He's defending Sony just like he would defend Nintendo in a board of Sony fanboys (just as I would). So really, you're calling him a Sony fanboy, when he really (like you claim to be) isn't a fanboy at all.

Sony is to TV's and !@#$%. Not gaming consoles.
I can't believe they're going to go all the way to the Playstation 4 to realize that!



What am I saying......knowing Sony, it will last longer. I bet the PS4 launch and beyond will be twice as funny as this years' PS3! :D

doesnt everyone know that nintendo is supposed to sell out to either microsoft or sony? its been talked about for years, but the nintendo wii is their last system and they will start to make games for whatever company buys them out.

it might just be a rumor then, but those are pretty common in the society, but its what i heard...but its pretty much a fact that the Wii came out on top of PS3...yea PS3 has better graphics, but its main games are sports games, and sports games are pretty much the same thing over and over, you'll get a little more features for some of the games, but nothing big, and it gets repetitive, unless you like those kinds of game. i really dont know any other games for PS3, but i think gameplay wise, Wii has it.
