You should always put more effort into your sprites than "some minutes". There's no point in posting them if they are not the result of real work but boredom.

Link's colors are to dark, and the shading is almost black. If you did the lineart yourself, then it's pretty nice though.

The sword is okay, but these colours could be brighter and different, too.

The blocks... well, nice. But make the center bigger, it's almost a pyramid.

House-tiles... with black lines? Remove these and they're a nice start.

How is this zelda related?

Aren't they meant to be the switch walls and torches from the Gameboy Zelda game but in his own style?

Yeah, they are.

Good work, mate.

You should really consider UPLOADING them somewhere. Nobody who uses the Blue theme will bother to change only to see your sprites.

Anybody who is NOT using the Blue theme, could you guys please upload?

similar to GB style. And a note to every one who asked that question in C#1, i hand draw these from scratch. There is no downloading in scholls because they block that, so I save it to the schools harddrive, post it as an attachment, then delete it.

And you don't have a PC of your own :o? How will you ever make an animated sprite sheet?!

dude we have 3 comps in the house and I have the fastest one. Its just that I finish my work early in my keayboarding class, so I go on the internet and start drawing sprites.

Please, for the love of god. Use an image-hoster already. Most people who do not use a theme that supports attachments are tired of changing. I changed it 5 times now and still didn't see the attachments. So please use imagehosters. It's for your sake, too.

www.photobucket.com
www.imageshack.com

BOTH free and easy.

He already said that his school blocks attachements...

How about the site staff fixes the Dark Blue Theme?

The first tiles are really meh, I mean they are nothing special, the custom font me likes, it would work great on a RPG! You should also do non-capital letters though. As for the tiles with thornes, they look good, and would work great on a GB styled game.

Is it just me or do I not see him saying that his school blocks attachments. Even if thats the case how is uploading an image the same as an attachment.

Dont mean to be rude just throwing that out there.

Im probley wrong tho, cuz thats usually the case :P

He said it in the Customs #2 topic, and AleX made a mistake, he meant that his school blocked uploading sites.

Thanks. I don't care, I use the Zora theme, but it'll stop other people from complaining. :)
These are all pretty basic and simple, but I gotta say, I really like the font.

why dont you put everything in 1 topic???
Title: Re: Custom #4
Post by: Kame on October 24, 2006, 01:47:10 pm
You know, all you've really posted are quick pixel jobs of simple blocks and such and recolors of such. Give us something else. Show that you're actually a decent spriter. And please, keep them all in the same topic.
Title: Re: Custom #4
Post by: cb43569 on October 24, 2006, 02:02:03 pm
Buy a real PC and internet connection for AT HOME, so you can USE IMAGE UPLOADERS. And maybe even KEEP IT IN THE SAME TOPIC. I'm sorry, but even though they're alright, they're only blocks with lines on them in multiple colours. And they're all over the place!

Please, can a mod merge all these topics together, PLEASE :-X?
Title: Re: Customs
Post by: cb43569 on October 24, 2006, 02:24:19 pm
Thanks, Sol ;).

It's much easier when it's all together. They're very pretty sprites, and I'm sure everybody loves them. Mind drawing more characters? Zelda, perhaps :)?

Why don't you sprite something totaly custom then? Something that isn't sprited in GB style ever.
