Entertainment / Why oh why is Jay Leno still around?

So I'm sure some of you have heard of this on going stuff with Leno/Conan and NBC. If not to put it short; Leno's show did bad, 'they' want to put him back in his old time slot basically, Conan doesn't want that because he thinks it will hurt The Tonight Show so he quit.
Anyways now Leno has The Tonight Show back (deal signed today) after leaving it and handing it off to Conan, who didn't even get a chance to break it in for himself and gain himself a bigger audience.
Why is Jay still around? He's not funny, and rarely ever has been. There was a reason for his show doing bad. Conan is hilarious, appeals to a much younger audience, therefore bringing in more ratings for NBC.
Oh NBC, how you've failed me.

Entertainment / Majora's Mask Discussion

So I replayed through Majora's Mask and just finished it again last night.
Man, I forgot how much I love this game. I flows (no pun) so well, it's got a great concept and executes it well. While a lot of the graphics are recycled from Ocarina of Time, it's still great for it's time.
The mask concept is really great, and I love it. I love being able to play as some of the other many races of Hyrule. Zora Link is my favorite, aside from Fierce Deity, of course, it could only be used in boss battles D:
The storyline is different from usual Zelda games, and that makes it great. It's not the same old "Save Princess, Save Hyrule" although it's still got the "Save the Land" part. Termina, while slightly small, is still a really great place, I do hope it's revisited some day. It has some interesting terrain.
I'd love to see a sequel. They've got a ton of options they could do, like bringing Majora's Mask back, and having it's power restorted taking over the body of someone else, or they could even do every fanboys dream and stick the mask on Ganondorf, but, while awesome, would be kind of stupid, it could work though

As awesome as this sounds, in a way, I don't want it. If it's made classic, then yes, but if they insert all the stupid gameplay mechanics from the recent generations then no thank you.

Has anyone played this yet? I got it, but I haven't played it yet. I just looked up some stuff on it and it actually looks pretty awesome. It seems to be a Duke Nukem-esque game. It seems to have a lot of comedy and parody's a lot of games.
For example this, a generic JRPG.
I find that hilarious because it's so true about most JRPGs. It's also a pretty unique battle in a sense. etc.
If you played it (or not?) what do you think about it?

At least they get it and aren't all asshurt over pirates. This is exactly how I started buying Valve games. I used to pirate them, started to love them, then bought them and swore to never pirate Valve games again.

The first one is a new line for the Memory Stick PRO
, tentatively dubbed as the "Expanded format for Memory Stick PRO". This new line includes expanded formats for the entire Memory Stick PRO series, namely PRO, PRO HG, and Micro (M2).
Compared to the current gen of PRO memsticks that can go up to 32GB, this new format will be able to achieve up to 2TB of data storage (damn, that's even higher than what I got on my old, clunky PowerBook!).
Other than the increased storage capacity, everything will pretty much remain the same: same dimensions, same number of pins, same transfer speeds. The new line will also still be supporting MagicGate and Access Control Function.
Now on top of the expanded Memory Stick PRO line, Sony and SanDisk are also set to deliver an entirely new format, one called the Memory Stick HG Micro. It's based on the current M2 format, but will be improved to allow transfer speeds of up to 60MB/s.
The press release didn't include any release dates for the new formats, however, development for these memsticks are already set to start this year.
Oh lawd. Well, now I can have 2TB of Porn on my PSP.

Kotaku has posted a podcast with Chet Faliszek, taped a couple weeks ago, where Chet said Valve would be announcing their plans for downloadable content (DLC) shortly.
He mentions it twice in the 21 minute podcast, the first is near the beginning and he says:
So one of the things we're going to be announcing really shortly is some DLC on the PC and the 360. We'll be having both the Versus maps and some new stuff coming out.
And the next time is near the end:
If it wasn't the holidays and people weren't taking all these vacations here at Valve, you'd have seen that announcement already. We should be announcing that before Christmas - what the DLC is. The holidays aren't so much delaying it.. the press guys.. Doug has been taking some time. We'll have an announcement shortly, I don't know exactly when. We've got the DLC coming. We're going to do the 360 at the same time as the PC, and then we also have on the PC side the SDK coming out.
It looks like we'll have Dead Air and Death Toll on Versus mode and maybe some new maps. The rest of the podcast talks mainly about the story of Left 4 Dead and the way the story is told and how much Chet likes working at Valve.

Good Evening, I'm here today to talk to you about something thats formost on all of our minds this fishing season.
Fish.
Now of course the biggest ticket fish this year is the Hylian Loach. Unfortunatly due to small allocations many boys and girls are going to be very disappointed when they look in the fishing pond this year. I however, will not be disappointed, for you see, I... have TWO Hylian Loaches.
So what do I do first? Do I post on a forum? Do I brag? The answer of course is YES, because I have TWO Hylian Loaches.
I have one right here.
And one right there.
Why? Because I have TWO Hylian Loaches.
Now I realize that while I have TWO Hylian Loaches, some of you out there might have a Hylian Loach of your own, and be thurely enjoying your catch, but, imagine how I must feel, with TWO Hylian Loaches. I think you'll see that I'm enjoying it TWO times as much.
Now some of you may be thinking, it's okay, I didn't really want a Hylian Loach anyway, and that's true, it is okay, because, you aren't getting one. While I conversly have TWO Hylian Loaches.
Let me put it like this; Imagine you have one ruppee, and I, have two ruppees. This is like that, except, you have no ruppees, and I, have TWO Hylian Loaches, also, I have this ruppee.
I have two nipples, but I also have TWO Hylian Loaches.
Is it worth it to have TWO Hylian Loaches, when I have my hand in a cast? Well I submit to you that, in time, this hand will heal, where as you, will never have TWO Hylian Loaches.
Now you may be trying to cover for your lack of Hylian Loaches by catching an 18 pound fish. You may even say that catching a regular fish is just as good as catching a Hylian Loach. This is obviously the talk of somebody who does not have TWO Hylian Loaches..
This graph illistrates how many Hylian Loaches I have versus how many Hylian Loaches you have. As you can see, your colum has zero Hylian Loaches, where as I, have TWO Hylian Loaches.
And so I will leave you with these simple words to consider this fishing season. I have TWO Hylian Loaches.

Entertainment / New Black Mesa Source Trailer.

Well if you don't know about BMS, it's a complete remake of Half-Life 1 in the source engine.
Anyways they released some new media not too long ago with a promise of a new trailer, well it came out yesterday and I've gotta say, it looks amazing.
I've been skeptical off and on about it actually being released (so have many others), but the more I see the more I think it'll be released.
The quality of this mod is amazing, seriously. Even if Valve were to pick it up and sell it for a few bucks, I'd still buy it.
The voice actors are great as well, especially the "Barney" voice actor. (Though the model lip-sync looks kind of strange).
Discuss.
