It's pretty much a MMORPG device, i don't think this is gonna end well.

Absolutely horrible planning.
Though, if the hardware's decent, I might get one to use for other !@#$% that's actually useful or fun.

I don't think it's so bad.
I think it'll only be bad because of the 3DO taboo, which will sink it before anyone even tries it.

So basically they are gonna try and get people to pay to buy something that preforms an action that their computers are already doing for them. Sounds like a solid business strategy. XD

Yeah I don't even think this is really necessary, however if it sells, good for them.

The do have something that works for browser mmo, as I have one for proof it works:
Called a less than $300 netbook.
It runs Runescape.
So, why would I waste money on a portable mmo system when I can buy a laptop for maybe cheaper or just a little more and it has more capabilities?

It runs Linux, which unless I'm mistaken few MMOs support natively.

This is a really stupid idea that just sounds like something a marketing executive dreamed up.

From what I understand the Jungle is designed to play browser based games and not just MMORPG's. But Panasonic is the talks to provide content of some MMORPGs. And they market it with MMORPG examples, because these are the games the "hardcore" gamers want to play and not some of the simple browser games.
