3D Mario Galaxy Scene + textures
« on: November 11, 2006, 06:38:40 pm »
Just a little simple scene inspired by a Mario Galaxy screenshot. Nothing majorly big or anything.

Good. Looks solid. Perhaps some more variation in the "wall"/ground textures?

What do you mean? I screengrabbed the brown texture from a Mario Galaxy clip, so that's why it's blurry and not very detailed.

I made the other ones from scratch though.

He means that it looks very clearly tiled :P. If you put some more detail into the textures, then it might be harder to notice...

I honestly think the lack of variation in the textures looks pretty good, though that might be just me.

The reason is the shading on the tile. It is darker on the left side than the right. Adding a flipped version to the other side might help, but it would still go from dark to light, just not as messily.
