Ok, so with the CR soundtrack being done, I've decided to do another album. This time around, the music is going to be a more ambient approach, combining orchestral sounds with some electronic stuff. I'm thinking of doing about 15 tracks, yet the songs on this one are going to be a lot longer than CR, meaning the total length should be longer than the CR soundtrack, despite having less tracks. In any case, here's a list of songs that I'll be updating as I go. Feel free to comment, ask questions, whatever. Thanks

1. Foliage
2. Rainfall 3:00
3. Windchimes 2:20
4. Catfish 1:10
5. Waiting in the Rain
6. Clocktower 2:45
7. Chrysanthemum Palace 1:45
8. Village Lights 1:15
9. Midnight Train 1:00
10. Terra

7/10

EDIT: I shortened the list down... I can't write enough songs, haha. Anyways just 3 more then...

I'm actually not really using many soundfonts in this stuff, if any. The problem with soundfonts is they're pretty much just one sound, whereas the VSTi's I'm using (virtual synth instruments) you can tweak different parameters for evolving ambient sounds and whatnot :P

So unless you have something like FL Studio, Reason or Logic I can't be much help there... sorry about that

: O in that case go quick and search for protoplasm! It's an amazing free VST I use in basically all my ambient work. The rest of the stuff however is well... mostly just messing around with sounds... I've recorded stuff like flutes and other woodwinds then distorted the sound into some really neat pads... sort of hard to get it right though.

Beautiful as always, except very short. Ambient tracks are usually much longer that this. I'll listen to it regardless, but if you can, lengthen the tracks some.

By the way, I just noticed that the version of Rainfall that you posted is longer than the one you had put at http://itohdaichi.binaryphoenix.com/ some time ago. You added parts from some tracks of Crystalline River and from Into the Fog to that track, didn't you?

Yep, it's sort of a remix/different take on the lantern village song because I kind of liked that one :P

Well... Very rarely do i find a composer that i give complete submission to, and let him rule as a superior, so, i will not challenge your position here at zfgc.com, the sfx/music boards ARE BELONGING TO US YOU...

This place shall remain Nail/Pickle free... It is yours.

Dude, this is unbelievable. Your music is at the same quality as this guy's music, if not better. And that guy's quality standard is unbelievable high, you only need to look at the music for this game.

I love the Windchimes song.

Heh. thanks for the comments and whatnot. Anyways I haven't had time to do much work on this because I'm finishing up a bunch of stuff for school and then piano exams, so I've been busy. I'll have 3 months to work on it though, so don't worry :P it should be done before summer's over... I hope.

I hear them crying at night (your pain is their satisfaction)

Hey, I've been pretty busy over the summer. Anyways, I finally got around to finish another song. Binary Phoenix's ftp and my ftp client both hate me so I can't upload it yet, but here's the latest song, Hallowed Shores, on putfile.
