OK, so after my 'Ode to ZFGC' topic, everybody probably thinks that I really can't compose music for crap. But please, just treat that separately, because it is a load of crap. :P

I've been working on some music for my Zelda fangame, and I just finished a village theme, most likely Link's starting village:
http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/6/13/65315/village-happy2-vfinal-fix-dist-slower-lamb-fix.mid

What do you think? C+C if you have any.

This is exclusive for my game and may not be used by anybody else without written permission by me. By downloading, you agree not to use it in any way not agreed to between you and me.

EDIT: Just realized that I stole a bit from Dayjo's song. I apologize, I assure you it wasn't intentional, I will fix it immediately.
EDIT #2: Fixed. :)
EDIT #3: Slowed down a teensy weensy bit, and made less ambient.

BOO, I was looking forward to another Ode to ZFGC >:(.
Naw, but seriously though. This is nice, but needs to be finished :D.

Your instrument choices really suit the happy style well..
..I could easily picture this bit in a 2D Zelda Game, and hope to hear more from your game!

Don't worry, you will. I plan to post songs as I finish them. Get more in the Sounds and Music section! >=0 (I almost abbreviated it to S&M XDXDXD)

Wow, that is very nice. It got little crowdy in some parts, but overall, it's great!

It sounds good but for some reason the tempo seems a little fast to me =/

I love it. Would really suit a busy, bustling town or something. Great work, Kame, I want to hear more...  ;D

Thanks you guys. I'm going to make it a little less ambient soon. Maybe I'll turn the tempo down a bit, too Antidote.
And yeah, I'll be posting more songs as I get 'em done. :) I've got some bits of ideas for others, I'm having trouble coming up with a nice adventurous theme. But after I've finished the overworld themes, I'll probably be posting two songs per topic or maybe more, because I'll probably be able to dungeon and boss music really quick.

Uploaded new file. It's now a tiny bit slower (by 1 point in Anvil, not sure what that corresponds to musically -_-;;) and less ambient to fit the village style a bit more and make it less busy as Mob said. I will try to use the same techniques as in the earlier version in a lator, more busy town. ;) I've also made the guitar part louder (it really needed it), made the pan steady for the guitar, and turned down the bass, choir, and strings.
