The Discussion seems to have gone a little off topic, but that might just be my opinion.

Anyway, as the graphics are the only thing shown so far, and also seem to be the focal point of this project, I guess i will comment on them.

The Visual Quality is astounding, The modeling looks great, as do the textures, save for a few stretched looking areas on the cliff sides. My only real problem with it is the style. everything seems kind of dull and pale, the graphic style reminds me of most PS3/360 games I have played which seems a bit boring to me. Majora's mask has a much different graphic style, with much more vibrant colors.

The style of Majora's mask seems to have strayed the most on the moon, although the quality of the model is very well done, It doesn't really give me the same feeling as the N64 game's moon. I think it may be the eyes, I think they should be brighter and more vibrant, and stand out from the rest of the moon, I find yours just doesn't strike me with the same kind of fear.

Bottom line: The model quality is great, but i find the overall visual style doesn't completely cut it for me. If the hue of the colors were shifted towards maybe a dark red-orange color, it may remind me of Majora's mask quite a bit more.

You gave me an idea pirgah, thanks.  I'll add an emissive map for the moon's eyes, i think it will turn out very well. At the moment however I am in the middle on working on a few other models, so I'll get to doing that after I'm finished. thanks everyone for the nice comments and crits!

Nintendo will probably shut it down >_>

Like what happened to Chrono Trigger 3D Remake.

That...wasn't Nintendo.  Nintendo hasn't really been known to shut down fan projects.  I'm pretty sure OOT2D appeared in an issue of Nintendo Power in Italy at one point.

Indeed, it was Squeenix, they also shut down the CT sequel that was an edited CT rom. They gotta protect their property, even though they aren't doing !@#$% with it.

That's what pisses me off most

He still has to pay royalties since it uses Unreal Development Kit if he were to publish his game for money.

Not if he doesn't sell it.

How do you not sell a game and take money for it? Sounds marvelous

Sorry I thought he was commenting on DFOTW's idea, kind of ignored the last bit there.

I've got to say this looks amazing!

I've always wanted to see Majora's Mask in modern graphics. However, I think it would be pretty tough to do, since a huge part of mm was in the emotion and artwork and stuff that was easily conveyed through the different colors, textures, models and stuff of the sub par graphics. If it didn't have a lot of this stuff, it really wouldn't be too much in my opinion... I wish you luck, and hope this goes well.
