Coding / Deactivating object outside view

I will put in this code:

instance_activate_object(objWeapon)
instance_activate_object(objLink)

all that jazz and everything in the room is still activated, every single object. its extremely annoying and it makes the game run slow, can anyone help me?

Okay so I have this code:

-This code sets the boundaries for the view to stay in, for scrolling purposes.
-The view size is 160x128
-"global.indungeon" is a variable that determines whether you're in a dungeon or not.

The problem is that I want to make it so when you are in a dungeon, the rooms are 240x176 and the view can move inside these boundaries, but I have no idea how I would set that up... any help?

ok I use game maker 7 and im trying to blend the sprite below as apart of the HUD.  i use the code

draw_set_blend_mode(bm_normal);
and it comes out all see through and glarey. how do I make it appear normally but without the extra black around the sprite. basically how do i make appear as it is in OOT.

Hit there I use Game Maker 7.0 Pro and I'm making a "The Legend of Zelda" game and I would like to know how to make "rooms" within rooms... for example One Temple/Dungeon will be one room but there are four objects that indicate the borders of the "rooms", these borders will stop the View from proceeding and until link exits the view will the view transition to the next set of borders.... Yea I know im streching it a bit but It has been done in GM7 before.

Ok so Im not an expert at GML and I would like to know if it is possible to apply filters to the game such as Ground Filters like sand, water, grass. and I would like to know how to create particles from sprites. Thanks and dont say stuff like: "So when do you plan on doing this stuff on your own?" or "Hey while your at it we will brush your teeth and wipe your ass!"
no I just need to learn how to do this thats all.

How can you change the palettes of a sprite without making a whole other sprite.
For Example if I want an object to get "hurt" how would I make a palette change of a sprite.

Story
Years after the events in "Link's Awakening". Link is held captive the Chamber of sages, Yet to be awkened. Link is unleashed out of the Chamber and is Sent to Volgolint, a distant land, Link can only go to the Sacred Realm if he has eradicated the Sevor, The King of Nightmares. Sevor was created by the dreams of the civilians of Vogolint, And ever since has been spreading Evil Nightmares to the land and yet making Dreams a reality.
The Dreams were not completely destroyed though.....
together all the Dreams form eight "Dream Orbs", in which, if connected, will ambolish the void to which Reality can enter Dreams, so that Link can kill Sevor.

Join Link and connect all of the Dream Orbs to save Vogolint from being a Nightmare.
