I had this on my computer (as well as a few that have already been posted).

Graphics / Tile Duplicate Remover

I'm not 100% sure this is the proper section for this topic, but it's at least graphics related.

I came across this topic a few hours ago looking for OoS tiles, and like all tile mega dumps, there were so many repeated tiles. To solve this, I made a quick program that goes through a folder of tiles, picks out all the tiles separately, clears duplicates, and saves the new files (free of duplicates) elsewhere.

Its functionality is pretty limited right now, and I haven't done any extreme testing on it. I'm open to ideas about what more I can do with it, but I don't plan on being super committed to this or making this a long term project, so I may or may not add other features. I'm actually sort of surprised how fast it is because I honestly didn't optimize it as much as I could have.

I thought this might be useful to other people, though, so I'm putting it here for now. I know there are other megadumps out there and more yet to come. And it could also be useful for ripping tiles from maps.

Here's the download: [Download]

I couldn't figure out how to turn it into a poll, so I started a new topic.

Does anyone else have any input?

That's much better.

You know what? Scratch the part about the neck. It's fine. There are problems, however, with the proportion of the body to the head. Your sprite of even old Epona has a head (+neck) as tall as the body and almost as wide. The head is really the right size. It's that the body needs to be bigger. Remember that she is supposed to be big enough for Link to ride her.

Her body's kind of out of scale with her head. Try using Link as a size reference (making sure he can fit on her back). There should also be more difference between old and young Epona. Here are some references: Old, Young. Notice the legs in particular, but also the neck-to-head proportions. Your old Epona also looks a bit fat, but that can be fixed by changing the body shape to a more curved one (you'll jhave room for that when you make the legs longer). Other than that, it's coming along well. Keep up the good work!

That's amazing! Would you mind posting the source to this so I can sew how it works?

You used it as a base because it wouldn't mix well?

The FSA style doesn't really mix well with MC.

Here. I was planning on asking to use it (especially since there's no credit tag).

Many MC sprites have yet to be ripped, and many of the ones that are ripped are not organized. This topic is dedicated to the organized ripping of MC sprites (and the organization of already ripped sprites).

Rules
  • Each frame of the same animation must be the same size.
  • The size of each animation must be clearly marked.
  • Any use of someone else's rips must be within the rules of the original ripper.
  • Give credit to the original ripper.

I recognize that the darknut has many animations. In order to ease the ripping process for everyone, I'm creating a special spot for the different animations here. Anyone can submit a single animation, however they must be organized as stated above, and they must be colored like the most basic darknut (gray with no red). I've attached the different colors to make recoloring sprites easier (EDIT: I realized that the rips I attached for recoloring were not colored exactly. I'll try to rip some of the same pose myself.). When an animation is ripped, I will link to it in the following list. When all animations are ripped, I will make a single sheet out of them, of course giving credit to all contributors.

That seems a bit violent for Tingle.

One question. As a thief shoot he be holding a lantern? Or is that occasionally?
All poes seem to carry lanterns. I don't know why.

This looks kind of like lttp style?
What makes it look LTTP style?

Equally, isn't Maple supposed to be young?
Is it just the nose from the side that makes her look old? If so, that can easily be fixed.

NOTE: I didn't make these.

I know there's no concept art for Maple yet, but she's been in other games, and there were already some sprites for her on TSR. I organized the animations provided and made a spell casting animation based on that of wizzrobes'.

EDIT: An updated version (a less prominent nose).
