best DS rpgs?

alright so I started looking into ds rpgs again and I discovered that there were just as many good overlooked ones as there are good untranslated SNES games. (Front Mission to name one and that has a DS port)

in a few years maybe
Final Fantasy V (not announced)

upcoming:
Black Sigil
Golden Sun DS
Dragon Quest VI
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days (wtf does that title even mean...)

released:
-Chrono Trigger (sorry Tetiro)
-FF crystal chronicles echoes in time (fantastic battle system you can PICK UP enemies  :o )
-Final fantasy III, IV(my favorite ff game), XII revanan wingoo (just watch the jap ad)
-Rune Factory 1 and 2 (like harvest moon + Zelda... kinda)
-Dragon Quest IV, V, Monsters: Joker (V has hilarious dialog)
-YS 1&2 (sure wish we had the new PC version of these games  :'( )
-Contact
-Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
-Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier (I highly recommend it street fighter like combat)
-Suikoden Tierkreis (makes up for being easy with its graphics and story... but it's really easy)
-The World Ends With You (funky rpg that makes you fight more than one battle at once)
-Zelda Phantom Hourglass (arguably not an rpg but we are on zfgc after all)

(hurm I suppose Time Hollow and the Phoenix Wright series don't count but they deserve mention as very good DS games.)

Did I miss anything?

And yes Chrono Trigger DS definitely. Maybe Phantom Hourglass if you count that as a Action RPG.

<_< I didn't mention it because it's exactly the same as the original o_o minus the interface that is. and I heard there was a secret or two and a new boss. hardly counts as a new game if you ask me. Then again not everyone played Chrono Trigger to the point of memorization or looked for Glenn in game as he had a world sprite.

I also didn't mention it because THIS is what I wanted.

as an added note did anyone like Dragon Quest monsters: Joker?

I was a big fan of the Dragon Warrior Monster games on GBC, so yea, I like Joker a lot.  Though I wish they hadn't changed breeding to synthesizing.  That sounds stupid.

maybe the idea of breeding monsters would raise the ESRB rating.

also Black Sigil looks great I'll have to play it when it comes out.

someone told me Suikoden Tierkreis was good.

The Summon Nights game on DS is pretty good too, but the Summon Nights Swordcraft Story games are better.

Is "The World Ends With You" considered an RPG? My boyfriend played it, but I haven't quite yet.

Rune Factory was great! Got a little repetitive after a while though. I also heard pretty good things about Suikoden.

Tales of Hearts is in Japanese, sadly :(

I'm a big fan of the Dragon Quest series, so I've enjoyed JOKER, IV, and V. Unfortunately, I already beat IV and V in their original consoles, so I was merely replaying the games... Still, my eyes still watered while playing DQV.

The World Ends With You was a pretty good game but it's virtually impossible (to me, anyways) to play it using anything other than sword pins.

I started playing Super Robot Taisen OG Endless Frontier *breathes* and without knowing it, I ended up playing it for ike 2 hours straight.

Also- FFVI is already been announced?! WTF. I don't know whether to be like "!!" or to be like "D:"

no it hasn't. I'm just saying it's Inevitable ... unless they go for a Wii release and try to make it look even better. this might be more likely as FFVI had better sprites than the previous two games and they might want to take it to the next level. However the last two came out on DS why wouldn't the third...

Hehehe, or, 'know, do like they did with Chrono Trigger and just port it directly, losing all meaning since there's already a GBA version, but whatever- this time there's touchscreen and all the fanboys will buy it again.

...Ugh... Changing between languages is so weird... *Was in a Spanish forum*

I know I love the tales of series   :-\ Tales of Phantasia for the SNES was great.

someone is translating Tales of Innocence not sure about Hearts though

@ Garoth Moulinoski  Kaguya Nanbu wouldn't be your reason for liking the game would she ;)

I enjoyed the golden sun series and thought about how great it would be to get the new installment on the ds, I just hope it will be replayable enough just like the others.

I'm pretty sure they'd do V first. It was a fun game in it's own right, with the job system. VI would be epic tho, and I do hope they eventually make it!
