Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is one of my favourite games ever and probably my favourite RPG ever... which might be considered sad, to some. What I loved most was that TTYD took the concept of Goombas and Fire Flowers and what have you, inspected it, and morphed it in such a way that it somehow a meaningful story, with deep conversations, charm and humor. The game itself plays great, and each chapter offers something amazingly new (haunted wrestling ring, much?).
