Very true.  The new generation of kids is developing into idiots, and this is a large part of it.

I could go on a huge rant about how that film is both mindless, mind-numbing, and just plain terrible, and proceed threaten to castrate you with a spoon. But I shall not, I shall merely sit here, the bigger man, and look down my nose at you.

I really do not like those films :P

High School Musical 3 is the last one of the bunch, I believe.  It is kind of weak to dislike the movies though in that they only became successful because other people liked them.  They're going to keep shelling them out if there is a market out there for it.

They became a success because 8 year olds like them. The only things 8 year olds don't like is what society tells them not to like...

Seriously, the only people I know personally (aka IRL) that like High School Musical are either 10 years old or younger, or Chavs (and since when did they have good taste?).

Next week: Big Brother, do you want to kill that TV show, or do you merely wish for it to not be around any more?

Agreed. I wish Disney could go back to making awesome animated musicals, like Aladdin/Hercules/The Lion King. Enchanted is apparently pretty good, but I've not seen it.

Seriously, those old Disney musicals rocked. Kids today don't know what they're missing.

One of the best songs ever  XD

But yeah musicals are nice and I just think as the HSM movies in the same line as the animated disney movies they are for kids and families with kids to enjoy. I have noticed that a good thing it does is it gets my teenage niece and my 8 year old niece to do more together as High School Musical and Hannah Montana are a common ground for them. So it is strengthening some sibling relationships.

They need to stop "Remaking" Disney's original music. By remaking, I obviously mean Bastardizing... Under the sea is a pwn ass song and I don't wanna hear the Jonas Buttfuckers sing it.

I agree the constant remakes of the song is ridiculous, but I think of it this way if I had a recording contract with Disney I would like to record myself singing some of my favorite Disney songs, but still it is way overdone.

I do not really understand the hate you have for High School Musical. It's obviously created for children. And I don't know about you, but most things that are created for them is not interesting for us. So just don't watch it...

I feel horrible for all the children that watch this... They now have unrealistic expectations abotu High School that will sorely be trampled upon but mid year their Freshman year.... not to mention their SAT scores will be in the shitter due to the amount of braincell loss lol

I look at this and sigh...however, I look at some of the crappy anime I watched as a preteen and also sigh.

To each generation their own.

The difference with that is.... we actually got over it. I still see people in College watching HSM...

Why shouldn't college people watch it? If they like it, they should watch it, its not hurting anyone else.

It's hurting those within earshot of it.

Then move away until you cant hear it. OR ask them to turn it down a bit.

How is that a weak argument? Its no different to if somebody was watching Friends and somebody didnt like that: Itd be the person who didn't like its fault, not the person who did.
And Its a FAR better argument then "No-one should like it/listen to it/watch it because I don't like it. Oh and btw, if you like something, make sures it aimed for your age range. Otherwise get lost."
