But is there a border between challenging and just plain annoying? And if so, where is it?

Hi, I'm working tediously on a Zelda Fan Game and what normally holds me back is level design. How would I go about making interesting and slightly challenging dungeons? I could use a couple pointers and maybe examples. If I can tackle THIS, then I can hopefully FINISH the game.

Well, these fanboys that hate psp are indeed uh how can I say this.... retarded might I say...? I mean think about it, what can be better than playing SNES, NES, AND GBA ON THE GO? Do the math. Thats like more nintendo than sony, and this break through exploit will enable PSPs' everywere to do just that.

I didnt think very many people would reply with their thoughts because this is a nintendo based forum, but common people! There cant be only 2 psp users on these forums!

OLD:
It has been discovered that the sony did not fully patch the GTA:LCS exploit as fw 3.03 has been hacked again using the original copy of GTA:LCS (Not the later patched versions) so this means that homebrew will soon be available to all current psp firmwares. I feel kinda bad for sony right now because everyones acting all cocky and saying "0 L00k that newb S0ny g0t 0WNT"

For a full article on the 3.03 exploit go here.
OR read this:
Quote from: Fanjita of the Noobz Team
ou remember that the only thing holding us back from a downgrader for v3.03 was the lack of a user-mode exploit?

Well, we don't like to be held back from anything, so we went back to basics and looked over some of the old exploits.  And what do you know?  We found one!

We did a little digging into the old GTA exploit, and discovered that it hadn't been properly patched after all.  We'll leave it as an exercise for the interested reader to figure out exactly how we got past the patch (and to give Sony a little while longer before the head-slapping "Doh!" moment Tongue out).

But the short version is that we can now run code again via Grand Theft Auto : Liberty City Stories.  You want some proof?  Check out the Goofy Hello World download below.  Here's a little screenshot:

http://www.noobz.eu/joomla/images/stories/flamehw.jpg

Some details on how to use it:

    * You need an original, unpatched GTA:LCS game.  See here and here for tips on how to check your version, although it can be confusing. The new copies that you find in the shops now will not work.
    * This only works for Liberty City Stories, not Vice City Stories.
    * Extract the files from the ZIP into the /PSP/SAVEDATA folder on your memory stick.
    * Start the GTA game, and enjoy the feeling of freshly-minted homebrew :D

And what of the future?  Well, we should have a 3.03 downgrader ready within the week, using this exploit.  Watch this space!

Thats awfully nice of you. Although, I wouldnt suggest releasing ALL of it though because then there will be like 300 LTTP Onlines or minish cap onlines or what ever the hell n00bs think of. Oh well ;P its your code.

Anyways, I hope it is completed =]

Hmm... The engine is great so far. I like the sword moves. Although, the mix of freeware and GB sprites is a turn off  :'(

Took a while, I like how it turned out ;D
I made it for a competition on an online game (graal online)

I think I made it too round, not segmented enough and the eye lighting kinda throws people off. Oh well, I already sent in my application  :P

Did you import the "get_letter" one too?
Also, make sure you have this in the main "dialog_box" script.
"d3d_set_projection_ortho(0,0,yourwidth,yourheight,0);"

Lastly, to call it use this in the npc
Code: [Select]
dialog_box(argument0,argument1,argument2,argument3)
//argument0 = the text
//argument1 = whether or not to draw the box at the end
//argument2 = whether or not to initiate the text
//argument3 = whether or not to draw the text box

This looks good! I havnt been to the GMC in a while, maybe I should start going back because better games seem to be coming out. I like the 3d use of GB style more than I thought  :D.
Good luck, hopefully you dont grow bored.
