it wasn't the first time he could have been killed. if anyone had the key and knew where the chest was, they could have killed good ol' davey.  he almost died in the second movie.

it wasn't the first time he could have been killed. if anyone had the key and knew where the chest was, they could have killed good ol' davey.  he almost died in the second movie.
They never told us of any time he could have died, meaning we don't know how he acted at other hypothetical times, so that's irelevent. They never really have a chance to kill him in the second one when Davy is also close enough to know about it.
