Well, I would add climbing, like cliffhanging, but also like climbing a mountain cliff and a ladder.
Okay, cliffhanging and two angles of climbing (Link climbing with back to the screen and climbing side-style) will be added in ver 1.1.
Actually, what he meant is that Link presses himself against the wall with his back in order to cross a gap on the road that still has a narrow foothold, against the wall. See vid, at about 3:00 minutes.
Ah, sidling! The only thing is, what would be the use of that in a platform style where Link is able to jump? It'd have to be a really long stretch (could get annoying?) to be used right or in a place where you cannot jump (low ceiling, spiked ceiling, etc). Therefore, I do not think this is really something anyone would ever use. Having said that, I will add this ONLY if someone is using these sprites in their game and they need it; then I would be glad to help them out. Otherwise it's a waste of my time.
Actually, this is kind of a test for me to explore what actions Link could and should have in a platform-style Zelda.
I've been working on this sprite sheet for a number of reasons:- There aren't many good platform style Link sprite sheets out there (the good ones usually aren't complete).
- I feel that this may be useful for someone to use in a fan game.
- I want to better prepare myself for spriting my new Link for my Zelda game.
Just for the heck of it, I've attached a concept sprite for the new Link that I will be using. Some of you may have noticed it was my avatar a while back. His chest is wrong, among other things - it is a beta. ;p
