I rarely post but...

I took a serious IQ test once and i got a 124, which is good... what did you get?
Remember that usually testscores range from 50-150, and the average will always be 100

I once read an article that had the title "TV makes you smarter"
of course at the time i believed it was !@#$%, and i still do
it would depend greatly on what you watch, how much you watch it and how concentrated you are

just exactly how is watching TV making you smarter?

Television itself has no definitive effect on you (unless you sit really close and bust your eyes). What you watch on TV would have different effects. I'm decently sure that most shows don't do much of anything. However there have been studies into specific shows. For example Sesame Street was found to likely cause short attention spans in children because of how quickly it would change from one scene to another. Then you have commercials, which are specifically designed to make you think a certain way.

Television is so diverse that it's hard to say that it can cause anything specific. Besides laziness... and even then there are those workout shows... which no one watches... ;)

Well, here's an interesting tidbit of information: you burn more calories while you sleep than while you watch TV.

When I took the SATs last month I got a vocab question right because a similar word was on the Simpsons.

I guess TV can help.  8-D

TV? What a joke... :\
TV is full of crap nowadays, the only interesting things I see there are soccer games and my favorite comical show...
There's no way TV can make one smarter...

Thats like saying every animal in the world is lame and thats not true because penguins and turtles are definitely l33t.  You just gotta take time to find the good shows, I bet it wasnt easy to discover penguins but it was probably totalleh worth it. :DD
