The Train has set sail.

I don't know, it looks okay, a Zelda game is a Zelda game. People thought Wind Waker was going to be !@#$% but it was one of the best Zelda games. People also thought Phantom Hourglass was going to be terrible but it turned out to be good.

The whole train think does look a bit weird, but whatever. It's cool to see Hyrule restored (or at least, what I'm guessing is the new Hyrule).

I didn't mind the controls for PH, at first I didn't really like them but I got used to them. At least it's not waggle.

Look at the screenshot

The castle in the background is HYRULE CASTLE. The Windwaker world was flooded Hyrule.

This could also take place a couple years after PH or even much longer after that. Could be a new king of Hyrule and all.

About it being the Hyrule Castle from WW, the positioning and landscape around it really looks like nothing the one in WW. There were no cliffs or anything beside it like that IIRC.

Well the castle had cliffs around it, didn't it? Remember once you go through it, you have to go over the bridge to where Ganon is? There are some cliffs going on there. Then again, if they're going to follow the storyline exactly, then I suppose the landscape would have to be exactly the same as well since the whole land was frozen. Hm hm. Excitement dropped a bit.

We don't know what but that is Hyrule Castle. Remember, we know it's before the flood but how many years before?

What are you guys talking about? For all we know it could be a new Hyrule Castle! Cell shaded castle is cell shaded castle, it can look the same on the outside and be totally different. I want info on the storyline.

That's true. We'll have to wait and see.

Meh, I don't have a DS, and it looks like a rip off of PH to me.
IMO WW and MC were the last good zelda games they've made. I haven't liked any of the new ones with "innovative controls" and "realistic graphics". Not to mention the storylines were pretty weak.
It's time they made a pretty 2d game with standard controls again.

!@#$%.

I didn't tell people that they should shut their trap and have Nintendo take their time to develop a new Zelda-game only so that they could make the same game again and replace a boat with a !@#$% train.

My friend just told me that people thought the same about Majora's Mask and Windwaker, and I'm sure this game will be about as good as PH, still.

But I didn't want this. I wanted a new game, with an all-new feeling and charm to it, while still being a Zelda-game.

Isn't that why we're remaking the classics?

I did not count these games as 'real' Zelda games anyway. They're not nearly as epic as say Twilight Princess, Wind Waker or Ocarina of Time  :-\

Haha, I just noticed how Darklight's signature is oh-so fitting.

You know, maybe Daniel's !@#$%-up on that phrase had a foreboding message to it.

Isn't that why we're remaking the classics?
I didn't say it's a good thing.

normally i would not care what kind of texture/shading is being used but for once i feel that using cell shading might limit how big and/or long the game, and i kind of prefer the original style to the cartoony style.

I'd rather not play Zelda with waggle. I want to play like the old days, you know, with a controller.

Actually I like this idea. I think it is a fresh take for the series, not just "Wind Waker on land." Trains are cool, I love trains. TRAINS! I think this game will be fine, though I've come to dislike the Phantom Hourglass style because it isn't detailed enough, even if it is pretty. It just doesn't bring out the world of Hyrule. This game should be good, though.

What I am disappointed with, is that Nintendo announced a new Zelda game. I don't know why that bothers me, I was just hoping for a longer break.

I'm disappointed because this game is probably going to be another "LOL CASUAL" Zelda game just like Phantom Hourglass was. Meh.. I'll give it a chance.

I'd rather not go in with that attitude, though that's certainly how Phantom Hourglass turned out. Phantom Hourglass just lacked the complexity found in Minish Cap. Where Minish Cap had kinstones for NPC interaction, tricky dungeons and bosses and a really good plot, as well as a detailed world, Phantom Hourglass had no NPC interaction whatsoever, easy dungeons and enemies, a good plot and a really unimaginative world.

Phantom Hourglass was a good game, but a bad Zelda.

This better be better.

Look at the screenshot

The castle in the background is HYRULE CASTLE. The Windwaker world was flooded Hyrule.

Oh that does look like the Hyrule Castle from WW. That would be such a lovely thing. :] I want the game to end with Hyrule flooding.
It's the story of the hero who failed... because he was to damn busy driving a train around all day.
