I'm going to use this topic to place any new piano pieces I do. I was thinking of putting together an album for download after getting a whole bunch of pieces together, but I figured it's just easier to listen and download them here, and I'll keep updating things as I write more piano pieces.

The rest, I haven't listened to.

As I said before, Snow was a beautiful piece.

As AoDC said. I still have the original on my comp. Into the Fog is new? You sure this isn't updated or something? I'm sure I've heard this from you before.

Regardless, beautiful - but the piano sounds like it's being played with some kind of damper. It sounds almost muted, not as rich and full as it usually does in your pieces.

I happen to love After the Rain. It's quiet, then it slaps you in the face with this chord change. It was awesome. Interesting chord progression too. A minor to G Major then some weird diminshed jump or something.

Hehe, yeah, Into the Fog is new, I wrote it just a couple nights ago. Thing is, I tend to write a lot of piano in the same style, so it probably sounds a lot like something else I did before.

In any case, I dampened the piano a lot, because well, it's "into the fog" and I wanted a really hazy, misty feel to the piano, instead of a really bright and full sound... that just didn't fit the piece. It's a neat effect though.

Ah, not really. It's just that I usually take my inspiration from the weather. If it's raining, snowing, whatever, I'll write some music about it.

Amazing playing, but bad quality recording.

Er, a few things. Firstly, they weren't recorded. Not the audio at least. I input that digitally with MIDI then used other recorded samples to modify the sound. And secondly, the quality is part of the song. If I really wanted to, I could get a clean, crisp piano sound, but that would wreck the piece, since it's not meant to sound that way.

Would you mind editing one of them to make it sound cleaner? I'd like to hear a comparison.

Sure thing... http://www.binaryphoenix.com/projects/Music/Into%20The%20FogClear.mp3

It really does lose a large part of it's intended feel though, to be "in the fog". It's far too clear now. That was sort of why I dampened it that much.

That would be fun, I always like working together with someone on music, it provides a different angle to the music. I don't know if I've heard any of your stuff before though? In any case, drop me a PM and we'll talk about doing something.

Hehe, I can't say I have, sorry about that. I'm going to be pretty busy these next 2 weeks, but we could probably get a start on them sometime after.

Personally, I like the clear version better. :) Sounds amazing either way though.

Hmm... I *would* let you use that song, but it's part of another bigger project of mine. So while I'd prefer if you didn't use that piece, feel free to use any other song, or if you want, I might consider writing something for your game. Sorry about that.
