So...yeah, I'm sitting here, watching this Comedy cartoon thing called "King of the Hill", and...well, it has a lot of things. It has rather good 'graphical looking thingies', and it has good voice actors.

But, is it just me or is it missing one serious element...where the hell is the funny?

I like the episode where Bobby joins a demonic cult; it was funny in that the cult leader was a nerd who thought he had powers.

I haven't seen King of the Hill in so long, I don't remember if I thought it was funny or not.  But I did watch it a few years ago.

Is it really supposed to be? I thought it was done on purpose... like a sitcom without any laugh tracks.

I like it's sense of humour.

I like some of the jokes, I find it more as a way to show typical problems of Texas people, I don't think it is a comedy, it is more as a realistic cartoon portraying Texas people.

Actually, I think it's one of the funniest shows on TV. Unlike the Simpsons, King of the Hill has retained a focus on plot and character while still delivering the laughs. It's not a gag a minute, but the comedy is there.

I agree completely. I wouldn't say that King of the Hill is the funniest show on TV, but they do definetly deliver funny material without doing the "gags" that Family Guy, The Simpsons, etc. rely on.

It is stupid-funny. Plus there are a lot of jokes in there for people who live in Texas.

Not really. It's almost entirely sex jokes and satire on Texas. If you've never been to Texas you probably won't get it. For people like me, its hilarious and one of the best shows on television.

The jokes are so esoteric that you have to have American culture integrated to get most of them. I think that "satire on Texas" is a good definition of its humor.

I always say "!@#$%, I hate this show" when it comes on, but if no one changes the channel, I'll watch it and probably enjoy it.  But I'll still !@#$% about it the next time it's on.

I like it. It's a breath of fresh air from shows like the Simpsons and Family guy which rely solely on complete idiocy to get laughs... It's more lame then that one time I flew a Helicopter shooting green smoke out the back and played fart noises over an intercom as I flew under the golden gate bridge... *cuts to clip of him doing that*

This is why it's great.

You see, that got a quick giggle from me, which is the most that show has done, the jokes typically cause me to roll my eyes and grunt with a sense of "meh".

*rolls eyes and grunts with a sense of "meh"*, guess it's all down to personal taste. I'm not a fan of Family Guy or The Simpsons (post-season 8 The Simpsons at least) either. More of a Blackadder and Fawlty Towers kind of person (Guess I just don't like that much 'modern' comedy really...)
